Also anybody was at high risk, most victims were between the ages of 20-40. Another thing is that in one month 195,000 people died. One final thing that was horrible is that they were still going to war during the Spanish Flu. In Russia a treasure hunter found a Monmouth tusk from the ice age. A lot like an elephants tusk a Monmouth tusk is made up of ivory, which is really expensive. The tusk can sell for tens of thousands of dollars. But now because of the clement changing and is making it much easier to find things from the ice age and other really interesting stuff for Siberia and Russia. They grew crops in summer, fall, and spring and in the winter they would eat it all. The tribe was doing great up until the Pilgrims came. Everyone thought this was a good thing because Pilgrims were so helpful and yada yada. But, no, what actually happened was the Wamponaog was almost wiped out! Many in the tribe were weakened because of the outside germs the new settlers brought. This would be like if someone was living and they made your family sick but you couldn't do anything about it. This wasn't all bad though, eventually everyone met and had a giant feast together. The Wampanoag swapped survival and farming tactics with the Pilgrims for new tools which was helpful for both groups.
