Laodikeia Antique City is located 6 km from Denizli Province. It is located in the north. Hellenistic city, BC. In the middle of the 3rd century, the Seleucid King II. Years goes by and she lives in that castle away from everyone . But shortly before the princess turns eighteen a snake emerges from the basket of grapes and stings her.  The emperor is devastated when he loses his daughter and doesn't want to bury his princess because there are too many snakes in the soil and at least he wants to be able to move the dead of his daughter away from the snakes. For this, he mummified his daughter's body, put it in a brass coffin, and placed the coffin on the highest wall of Hagia Sophia.  However according to legend, there are 2 snake holes on that brass coffin.

It is kneaded with Çiğköfte, bulgur, tomato paste and various spices. Served with pomegranate syrup and lettuce.

Denizli kebab, which uses lamb meats under one year old, is cooked with mastic tree in tandoori fire. The lamb meat, which is divided into two and then 8 or 10 pieces, is carefully placed in the oven. Local flavor prepared with traditional methods; It is served to customers with onion, tomato and lavash pita. Baklava is made with thinly rolled 40 layers of dough. 40 layers of dough are put on top of each other. Walnuts or pistachios is put between them. Sherbet is poured on top of it. Can be served with cream or ice cream

Karnıyarık is made from fried eggplant and minced meat. Eggplants are fried first. A mortar consisting of minced meat and tomatoes is placed in it. It is usually served with ayran

Yaşar Kemal, whose real name is Kemal Sadık Göğceli, was born in 1923 in Hemite Village of Osmaniye District of Adana.

He was awarded the international Del Duca Award in 1982.
