  • Jaionna - My favorite season is fall.
  • Kain Altamirano - Thank you! It took a few years of college of studying meteorology. 
  • William Ufheil - Thank you! Takes a few years of studying meteorology.
  • Joshua Davis - Thank you! I occasionally get nervous but not as much anymore.
  • Carson - I mostly use computer models, radar and satellite. But weather station are also very helpful.
  • Landon wood - It's hard to predict the weather more than 5-7 days out. But hopefully very nice since it's a Saturday this year.
  • Dylan - definitely dog!
  • Reese Will - #ScienceIsVeryCool I'm usually home between 11 and 12.
  • Miryssa - enough to pay my bills!
  • Danna - I love checking the weather. Some days there's more to check than others but I think it's fun!
  • Brianna - I usually work 9 hours a day. Some days longer. Depends on the weather happening.
  • Lily #iovescience - Satellites are a big help with this. It allows us to see them forming over the ocean.
  • Reese Will - A typical day is about 9 hours. 8 hours if I'm lucky.

  • Danna - Yes, I've made a few mistakes. But you can't let it get to you.

  • Hannah B. - Oh yeah... I've been wrong before. The 10 day forecast is always wrong. Sometime it's wrong by a lot. That's why we don't do one.
  • Preston - Cops sometimes let me know if they see snow or hail.
  • Regan Dabbs - Winds speeds are estimated for tornadoes. We can use the radar to help us gauge how fast they are.
  • Gia Jolie Galaviz - I've been doing this for over 14 years now. I really like my current co-workers. I think we have the best team!!

  • Alex.K and Isaac.J W - tornadoes happen a lot when you're a meteorologist. I cover 22 counties in Missouri so if there's severe weather I'm working. I was working one morning and did feel and earthquake. It was located near Boonville.
  • Quinn - We're close because we work really hard at making accurate predictions. :)
  • Taylor R. - There are 3 of us on the weather team. It takes us between 2-3 hours to put everything together. Sometimes more depending on the weather.
  • Cole - the equipment is very expensive. Sooo expensive!!
  • Damarion - it takes us between 2-3 hours to make the forecast and graphics.
  • Ryanne - it's not always organized haha! But it is most of the time. :)
  • Elijah - we've predicted the weather over 100,000 times!!!

  • Carter M. - We don't work directly with NASA because they hire meteorologists to work for them too. We can predict hurricanes here but we don't usually because it's not something that will directly impact the weather in Missouri.
  • Lilly Z. - The job can be challenging some days but I love what I do. I'm usually at work by 2p. But it can be sooner if the weather is bad.
  • Emma F. - I have TV's near the green screen so I can see myself. :) 
  • Brody - We chose green as the color of our screen because most people don't wear this shade. But we could have picked any color.
