         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ellen Ochoa started her career as a doctoral student at Stanford, she was later a researcher at Sandia National Laboratories and the NASA Ames research center. In 1990, she was selected by NASA and in 1991 bacame an astronaut. As of 2007, she has served as Deputy DIrector at the Johnson Space Center. In 2013, she became the first first Hispanic and second female director of NASA's Johnson Space Center.</div>]]></description>
