According to Pyramus and Thisbe it says, "they live next to each other." Therefore they knew each other. Pyramus and Thisbe looked at each other and kissed through a wall. Their parents were feuding, but it doesn't seem to be one of those town-splitting feuds where everyone is on one side or the other. There is a misunderstanding that led to their deaths. Pyramus thinks that Thisbe got mauled by a lion when he sees a lion with her cloak it says, "But when Thisbe shows up under the mulberry tree where they're supposed to meet, a bloody-jawed lioness is hanging out there." Thisbe returned and finds Pyramus has stabbed himself with a sword. Thisbe then takes the same sword and kills herself.

- Romeo and Juliet is like Pyramus and Thisbe because the both result in tragedy. In Romeo and Juliet, in the prologue, it states, "a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life". In Pyramus and Thisbe, in the prologue, it states, "The death of two young lovers". They both foreshadow the deaths of the lovers. These statements came true, and their deaths had happened because their was misunderstanding in the situations. They were to blind by love to see that their loved one was still alive. Romeo and Pyramus saw the bad in the situations and jumped to conclusions instead of "reading between the lines". Then, Juliet and Thisbe saw what had happened, and they had killed themselves to join their loved one. Therefore, what had happened in the stories, was foreshadowed by the prologue.

Romeo and Juliet did not know each other in the beginning. They met at Lord Capulet's party. Juliet was supposed to marry Paris, but after meeting Romeo, does not want to be with Paris. On the balcony the night they met, she said she "gave thee mine before thou didst request it...", referring to giving him her heart before he even asked for it. They secretly communicate through the Friar and The Nurse. After meeting up and getting married Romeo kills Juliet's cousin out of rage and is banished from Verona. Capulet forces Paris to marry Juliet but Juliet refuses. Friar Lawrence makes a plan to put Juliet in a deep sleep the day of the wedding then write a letter to Romeo in Mantua to let him know about the plan. But the letter never makes it to Romeo. The letter can compare to Pyramus and Thisbe because of the cloak. Romeo's letter was supposed to inform him of the plan, but since he never received it, it became a misunderstanding. Same thing in Pyramus and Thisbe, the bloody cloak is the reason why Pyramus thought Thisbe was dead. The cloak was the misunderstanding in this situation, just like the letter. Romeo jumps to the conclusion of Juliet being dead and decides to go to her tomb and poison himself. Out of sadness he takes out the potion saying, "Come, bitter conduct, come unsavory guide... Here's to my love!" He then dies. She wakes up to find him dead next to him and decides to stabs herself, too.
