1.  Make a tagboard clock.  Mrs. W sent home a clock face, hands, and a faster.  Simply cut out the pieces and have an adult helper assist you in putting the hands on your clock.  

Practice your handheld clock show times to the hour.  Can you explain where the short hand (hour hand) is at 6:00?  10:00? 3:00?  What do you notice about the long hand (minute hand) for all of these times?  

Do the same as above, but try times to the half-hour.  Can you show 4:30?  12:30?  6:30?  Why isn't the short hand exactly on the hour?  

2.  Practice drawing some clocks on the sheet Mrs. W sent home with you.  There are 6 clocks on the front and 6 clocks on the back. Groups 2, 3, 4 - Read Chapter 3 (Mr. Putter, Cam Jansen, or Junie B. Jones)

After reading, write a FAT QUESTION you would like to add to our Talk Map in the classroom on the sticky note Mrs. W gave you.  What can you ask to get your group discussion going?  Be sure to stick your question on the page you want us to look back to. If you want to write more questions to ask, go for it!
