I enjoyed reading this book. I have learned a lot about WW 2. I have enjoyed other books from your series/Vikings. I have enjoyed learning more about what it was like during WW 2. I have also enjoyed learning a lot about the heroes during WW 2. I have also enjoyed learning about people's in pack during WW 2 like Americans joining the war.

The author believes that WW 2 was a horrible and bloody war but heroes arose and nations fell to become the biggest war of all times.

The author thinks this because he writes about WW 2 the whole time. He also talks about how terrible it was for the people during WW 2. In the many of the stories he tells about WW 2 he talks about heroes and leaders. This war had crazy amounts of casualties and many advancements. During this WW 2 men and women all fought for their lives to survive WW 2 and its horrors.

A quote I found important was on page 144-"It was dark, bloody, and ugly. It was also the perfect environment for a new kind of warrior to make his way into the scene: the sniper-an elite marksmen, perfectly hidden among the debris of the ruined city who could kill with a single shot and then melt into the shadows and disappear."

This quote is important because snipers were a crucial piece of WW 2 because of the accuracy and how they were so hidden.

A quote that I found important was on page 276-"The Japanese were forced back toward China and would never again have manpower to mount an offensive against the Allies of Asia. Their empire was now beginning to crumble around them on both land and sea."

This quote is important because it shows the weakening of Japan and the ending of the WW2.
