    How do I do this in the classroom?
    • Centers
    • Write together as a class about a shared event or read aloud
    • Groups read a story and create a series of events. These events are cut apart and given to another group who must read the story and reassemble the events in the correct order.
    • Use comics to increase student interest
    • Have students write about their day
    • Have students tell how to do/make something
    • Have students listen to a story, then put events in the correct order. This can be done in groups or individually, depending on the level of student understanding.
    • Use a string to aid students with retelling.
