The Bluebird project is about increasing their population in south east North Carolina and decreasing the pesticides we use around our homes. The Eastern blue bird is a year round bird that stays in North Carolina so it's very common to see them, especially between the months of late December March. We would do this by creating a blue bird house by December because they start nesting January, into early March. We would use fundraisers to help sell the blue bird houses. The bench mark of our fundraiser needs to be completed by December because they will start mating and nesting by January.

Delphi Method- Macro view using experts on the project

Bottom-up estimate-getting people doing the work
Function points-points derived from past software projects time,cost and feature projects

Learning curve- A mathematical curve used to predict a pattern of time reduction as a task is performed over and over. 

Range estimating- An estimating technique in which multiple estimating points are given based on some logic

Reference Class Forecast-  you take an external view and forecast project costs based on actual outcomes of similar projects. 

Template Method- A method that uses a prepared form to develop project networks, costs, and time estimates.

Time and cost databases- Collections of actual versus estimated times and costs of work packages over many projects, used for estimating new project tasks and their expected possible error.

Top-down estimate- Rough estimates that use surrogates to estimate project time and cost, better known as Macro estimate.

White Elephant- A burdensome possession that is not easily disposed of and whose cost upkeep is out of proportion with its usefulness.
