. The Age of Imperialism took place between 1880-1914.

. Imperialism is when one country controls another.

. Three imperialist nations are Great Britain, France, and U.S.

. During this time these countries would exploit many parts of the world meaning they would take advantage of them.

. There were positives to imperialism like religion, laws, and jobs but there were also negatives like death, warfare, and extreme racism.

. Around this time a particular person name Gandhi was using a method against racism called Passive Resistance.

. His race were subjected to the lowest class of the caste system.

. This caste system is the class system in India.

. A prime example of Gandhi fighting for the freedom of the people would be the Salt March where him and his followers would march to a beach where they would provide themselves with salt.

. This was also around the time where Nelson Mandela would become the first President of South Africa fully elected by both blacks and white.
