It is not easy or obvious to talk about the environment at school. The theme of the environment and the problems related to its defense is a daily ground of debate on numerous levels and is now part of the common sentiment; it is such, therefore the abundance of inputs on these issues that it is often difficult to choose where to start and how to move to start an environmental education project with pupils.
The project aims to raise awareness of primary school pupils to protect the environment, introducing them to the concept of ecological footprint. Since my student age group is small, I show them various animations. We use recycling materials especially in events. We are working on saving water and not wasting it.

We learn how to save energy using renewables and then look into ways on how we can minimise our carbon footprint on a personal level as a creative task. We do 'My Promise to Planet Earth' activity which is then spread around the school through assemblies and school noticeboard. I work in a educational team with all colleagues from the different subjects of our 3 common classes of 7th grade
We are 13 teachers of different subjects that meet and work collaboratively all year
We plan our activities in order to articulate the contents as much as we can
We use collaborative documents, we ask students to do guided researches And then organize the information they get in posters
Also we try to make them use the scientific method in conducting simple experiments.
We have class assembly every month so they can share with their colleagues their work and discuss what to do next

It has been a very positive way of working and pupils have been much motivated and had developed many skill
