He spends his lunchtimes in the library, hiding away from his bullies and because he has no friends.

This is shown in the library scene, where hfewfe sees to other boys coming towards him so he goes to hide in the library. They try to come in too, but are stopped by the librarian. He doesn't leave for the rest of the break.

josh's family struggles with not only his brothers disability being unable to walk properly like he used but with Josh's identity crisis.

josh trying to connect withhh his roots shows how much it was needed showing care for his family but also showing how its improving Jamie's legs. But his mums shows how much sheshh not ready to let go of her boys growing up.

Brother Madigan offers Josh the opportunity to audition for a drama school in Christcgghurch. After watching Josh perform in the drama session at lunchtime, Brother Madigan catches Josh afterschool to hand him a pamphlet on the drama school, saying that he is not a crap actor and that he may have what it takes to win the auditions.

Originally, Josh felt uneasy and a bit scared to join the protests but as the story progresses, Josh feels more connected and finds a sense of belonging within the group of protesters.

The protestors marched through the streets, but the police blocked them with barricades. The protestors kept chanting and protesting, so the police tried to push them back. When some didn’t move, the police hit them with batons and shields, causing serious injuries.
