During the holidays, me and Jemmy always go to billiard/pool cafe near our home location once every 2/3 days. Well it kinda waste our money but it’s okay because we were bored. Jemmy is so easy to beat but because I’m a kind person, I gave him some free win so he can be happy and not sad. After we play billiard/pool, me and Jemmy were looking for food to fill our stomach, so we go to Warung Djalu and ate mie lethek. After we were done eating, we went back to our house.

Bambu Gila: Maluku Mystique Tradition

The "Bambu Gila" (Crazy Bamboo) is a unique traditional ritual practiced in Maluku, Indonesia, where a large bamboo pole, approximately 20 feet long, is believed to become possessed by spirits and move erratically during a ceremonial practice. The ritual begins with a pawang (ritual leader) performing prayers and burning incense, after which volunteers from the community attempt to control the bamboo pole that seemingly moves on its own, often requiring several strong individuals to maintain their grip as it drags them around. The ceremony involves careful preparation, including the selection of a specific bamboo pole, and typically draws many spectators from the local community who gather to witness this fascinating cultural spectacle that demonstrates the intersection of physical and spiritual beliefs in Indonesian culture.

In my opinion, this tradition is very unique because it has mystique ritual and alot of people beliefs it. However, there is some people are not believing this tradition because they think that the bamboo are being agressive because of the people whose holding it. But, Bambu Gila is one of our Indonesian Tradition and Culture, so we must protect it. Sometimes, this tradition are use to help some job like pulling or moving boat and also it use to be local community spiritual life.
