Money
- the major conflict in this play is over the huge sum of money one of the family members receives.
Control
- many smaller conflicts take place throughout the play, and many are over control. With a family of 5 living in a very cramp apartment often times arguments occur, and more often than not the arguments are over who is in power.
Family
- this word is important because the play is about a family and their troubles. The family is very close, and spend almost all their time together.
Dreams
- The family is poor, and live very cramped. The youngest son has dreams of doing what he loves, and becoming successful. These dreams are very important to the play overall, as they keep the family going. Dreaming is also important as the family is deciding what to do with the money.
