         <description><![CDATA[<div>Two types of academic debate:<br><br>1. Academic claims are exchanged, challenged and discussed over an extended period of time until an agreement is reached. It could be in the form of academic essays and speeches.<br><br>2. A formal speaking event, usually held in an academic setting with an audience and a teacher, who usually takes up the position of the judge. However, said audience do not have an effect on the result of the debate, only the judge would be able to have a final evaluation of the winner of the debate.</div>]]></description>

A few examples of applied debate would Parliamentary debate, Presidential debate and Televised debate.<br><br>The difference between Parliamentary debate &amp; Presidential Debate:<br><br>Parliamentary Debate:<br>- Conducted under the formal rules of parliamentary procedures.<br>- Discuss motions relating to laws or regulations to come to a decision about them.&nbsp;<br><br>Presidential Debate:<br>- Debate between candidates trying to win an election.<br>- Special type of debate that have specific individual roles.<br><br>Televised Debate:<br>- A form of media that changes the way politics has impacted us today.<br>- It is able to reach out to a much larger audience thus making your campaign more prominent.</div>]]></description>
