Counterclaim and reason: Amir is the bravest person because he atoned for his sins and adopted Sohrab.
Refute: Even if Amir atoned for his sins, it doesn’t show that he is the bravest person because he ran away from his fears for thirty years of his life and not even once did he tell people of what he did.

Counterclaim: Someone may say that Baba is the bravest character in the book because he doesn’t really fear anything or anyone.
Refute: Even though Baba is very brave Hassan is the bravest character because he is a child and still doesn’t stand down to anyone.
