In the 13 december We celebrate Lucia. It is very dark in december When we go to school its dark when we go home its dark. Lucia lived in Sicily. Lucia would marry a man but lucia refused. The man felt violated and made sure Lucia ended up in prison. Therefore we celebrate Lucia in sweden cause she a saint and give people food and lights. It start with a slow march. the slow march consists Of Lucia at the front after she Gets her tärnor, after they come stjärngossar, after they come to the gnomes, and after they come gingerbread cakes. The march sets on a stage and sings different songs about Lucia. Yesterday we hade lucia i our class. We entered a dark Church and there were about 500 people in there. It was a little nervous when we Came in but after a while it was just fun to sing. I hope you learn something about Lucia and why we celebrate it.

In December we have Lucia. It´s very dark in Sweden in December.
So we have lamps that are stars in our windows.
In Lucia there is a girl called Lucia and she has a white dress and a crown with candles on it (it´s about six candels). And something called stjärngosse (starboy). He has a hat that is a upp-side-down ice cream cone on his head out of paper it has tre stars on it. And he has also a white dress.
And then we have a pepparkaksgubbe (gingerbreadman).
And he has gingerbreadman clothes and a gingerbread hat.
You can also be a tomtenisse (santas helpers).
He has Santas clothes and a Santa hat.
Isak/Isaac and Hugo where starboys and William was a Santa.
It`s was very embarresing cause everyone looked at us.
It was 400 people that looked at us when we did Lucia.

Now we going to talk about Lucia.

We celebrate Lucia because Lucia helped many people and came with candles in her hair. To see where she went because she Held food in her hands then she put the candles in her hair.

You are in a down lit place. Lucia goes first after her walks the (tärnor). After the(tärnor) the star boys walk and in swedish (stjärngossar). After the star boys (stjärngossarna) walks santa Claus and after him his helpers (tomtenissar) and sometimes gingerbread men.

We had Lucia on dec 11 dec in the church of our parents and we had Lucia on dec 12 dec for the school. Amra and Tove was (tärnor) and Adam was santa claus. Adam (santa claus) greeted everyone to the Lucia.

By the way, you asked for our names we called Adam, Amra and Tove.

Lucia handed out bread to prisoners. We had 3 lucia this year, they were 400 in the crowd watching as we sang. It was nervous. We sang a song by Avicii.

Louisa and Nellie were tärnor and that is a girl with light in shes hand, glitter in her hair, glitter in her waist. Filip and Lukas were starboys and that is a boy with papercone on hes head and a star in hes hand. Everyone had white dresses on them.

Linus thought it was very nervous. Rasmus is a slacker he hate lucia. Una was lucia and she has lights in the hair. I was very afraid to have light in the hair but it went well. Linus was a santa claus helper. Rasmus did not join. He did not dare. Una where a withe dress and Linus where red Santa Claus clothes. It was over 400 people who looked at us. It was a little bit nervous but it was okay. Our teachers were wondering who would become what. We had three Lucia two for the parents on the night and one for the school in the morning.

We had a Lucia march in our school.

It was year 5 who had the Lucia march and that is us.

In our lucia march it was one Lucia many tärnor, starboys and a few santa clous. Anton was a starboy and Lukas was a starboy to but Gustav was a santa clous. We cast lots about who would be what.

It was nervous before we had the Lucia march. Becouse it was fourhundred people look at us. But after we had the march it felt great. In our march we sing a lots of songs. When we had it it was very very dark. But when we come in it was so beatiful with living candels.

Lucia is a swedish tradition. We celebrate it on December 13th. Lucia comes from Italy. But in italy they celebrate in a completely different way. In a luciatåg it is a stjärngosse (starboy) a tärna and a Lucia. Sometimes it is also santas helpers. This Thursday we had a luciatåg for our parents. And on Wednesday we had it for the school. We had our Lucia in the church. When we walked in it was dark and you were nervous , there were about 400 people inside the church . Lucia go first in the line. And after afterwords goes tärnorna and stjärngossarna. They sings different kinds of songs. Bahar was tärna and Vilmer was Santa Claus and Alma was lucia. Lucia has light i]n her hair and a white dress with a red band around the waist.. Tärnan have white dresses and a ribbon of glitter around the waist and a shiny strap on the head , they also have a light in the hand.

Hello Erik and Malte here but not Esso she is abroad.

Yesterday our class had Lucia performance, it is
a tradition in Sweden. It was very nervous because it was many people in the crowd. It was the whole school, it was about 400 people that watched on us. I Erik was a Star boy Malte was a Santa claus helper and Esso was a Tärna . The next day my class had Lucia performance for our parents then it was more students from the classes. We in sweden celebrate Lucia for she help us and she help the people in the prison she give them food. The prisoners don’t get much food down the cells. In the Lucia march the Lucia have light in her hair and Lucia some also was down in basement had also light in her hair.

The next day we did it for school we are about 400 students. It was nervous.We sing many nice songs one of them was Avicii in Swedish and we sing jingle bells.

The thirteenth December we celebrated Lucia.
And because we goes in fifth grade we had to preformed the luciatrain.
Luciatrain means that we goes in a line.
We going in to a church and singing songs and

December 13th is the tradition of Sweden to celebrate Lucia. In the morning we go to Lucia.
Them you go in a row. And in line, Lucia first and then there are tärnor behind Lucia. When you go fifth grade you have lucia. We are in fifth grade so this year so we had to join the lucia lead. And we did first for the parents of the church at the time 6:00 pm. And the next day, we made lucia lead for the whole school morning at 8:50 am. We were standing all the time and, it was very nervous. And then when we went back from the church to school ate lussekat, gingerbread and drink juice.

It was winter on the Lucia day.

From the beginning Lucia was from Italy.

Stjärngosse/starboy has a cone with stars on his head, white dress and he holds a stick with a star on.

There are also Santa Clauses they have Santa Claus clothes.

Everyone walks in a line and sings santa lucia.

We also sing a parody of a Avicii song without you and many other songs

There was more then 400 people watching us.

We three was tärnor. We had candlelight in our hand.

It was fun but a little bit scary.

December 13, we are celebrating Lucia. Lucia has candlelight in her hair and it is dark in the house. The 3 wise men were the first star boys. By the end of the 200´s, Lucia lived. Lucia is not the only role there are also tärna, and santa. Lucia was tortured. Lucia got rid of her eyes.
Lucia is from Italiy. We sing many songs to play tribute to Lucia. First, Lucia goes down the line, then the tärnorna then star boys and the last gnomes (santas helpers) Lucia is a tradition.

This is how we did Lucia for school and our parents!

We in the class performed for 400 people in the church. One of the songs we sang was by Avicii. Only the music in the song but not the text. We sang in Swedish. We sang an english song calls jingel bells.

Lucia is tradition in Sweden but they also have it in Italy. We celebrating Lucia on December 13th. On Lucia you can be gnomes, Santa, star boys and a gingerbread. We have tärnor but there is no word for it in English. The Lucia has a white dress whit light in her hair. The Santa has a red hat and red pants. He also has a long white beard. The gnomes has same clothes as Santa but they not have beard. Star boys have white dresses and a long hat with stars on, they also have stick with a star on it. The gingerbread has a costume that look like a gingerbread. Tärnor has white long dresses whit glitter on the waist. We have Lucia to are parents and school they sit in a dark room. And suddenly they hear voices. Soon Lucia come in and have all of the characters behind her. They walk in a slow line and sing the firs song. And after that they sing many and tell many stories. Lucia was a girl in Italy. She wanted to spend her life with God. But her parents wanted her to marry a man. She didn’t want to marry he. The man got angry. First, he wanted to put her in prison. After That the try to kill her. But it didn’t work. Until she was saved by the priest. But ours lucia was good. Alina and Linnea was tärnor. On Tuesday we had lucia for our parents. And on Wednesday we had to the school. We sang a song of Avicii in swedish. We sang without you because he died not so long ago and he came from Sweden.We had lucia in the church. Linnea’s favorite song was now a thousand Christmas lights light up. Alinas was The sky is spotless. We thought it was fun. The first time it was scary and nervously. On Tuesday we have the show to are parents. But on Wednesday we hade to the school.
