Everything I've learned so far has been very useful because I planned to get in to photoshop for my own personal use anyways so taking a class for it has helped me a lot. Especially the cutting and masking. The process was simple and easy by using the shape tool and making sure it was set as an outline and that the fill was off. It also taught me how to use masks to protect certain layers from being messed with in case you mess up. It takes a few steps that can be confusing because it uses a lot of mask layers, but overall it's pretty easy once you remember. All you have to do is clip your person out, place the background image over them, and creating a clipping mask on the background so it fits over your person. It used a lot of filters and blending options as well as the snipping too to create the holes in the ground. The fire in the back looks really good yet was so simple to add.
