Out of the Ten Ethical Computing Guidelines, I believe the one students violate most often is 8. Thou Shalt Not Appropriate Other People’s Intellectual Output. I believe this because plagiarism is at an all-time high, especially with the evolution of Ai.

Q2. Why do you think these violations occur?

I believe these violations occur because many individuals find it unnecessary to come up with their own ideas when Ai has several and can develop them within milliseconds. It saves time and effort but unfortunately diminishes creativity as well.

Q3. What do you think could be done to reduce or eliminate such unethical behavior?

This is a difficult question to answer as Ai use is being increasingly encouraged within businesses and even educational institutions. I believe one of the only options to reduce its use is to foster a creative environment and encourage students to develop their own ideas. Eliminating it all together may not be possible at this point. Ai has not been around for long at all, but I already cannot imagine a life before its creation.
