If I ever had the chance to attend a music festival so great at Tomorrowland in Belgium, I'd be so thrilled. I think that if you're at one of these venues among thousands of people with all this fantastic music playing I think that you can live something extraordinaire. When being surrounded by such environments and effects it really affects your body directly.

I have been to a festival in Sweden where they played music like this once. Listening to Psytrance while you're in party mood at a party with your friends can be amazing. I believe that some people can attend parties like these and experience something supernatural that might be like something spiritual. People really shut themselves out from the surroundings at parties like these and just go completely in sync with the music and it's like they can feel it through their whole body. I attended this party on New Years Eve and I thought it was crazy, but I didn't experience any religious or spiritual enlightenment.

I think this image of Native Americans performing a ritual is a good way of showing of music was incorporated in to spirituality (assuming music was played for the dancing). I believe that humans have always used ways of mixing music in to worshipping of any sort. I think the Native Americans used performance art for worshipping and that music help them reach some sort of enlightenment within their religion or faith.

This image is from the native people of my country, Sweden. They're called the "Sami" people. They have a traditional way of singing called "jojk"". Jojk is deep rooted in the Sami culture and it's used in their rituals which includes their shamans. They use music for their spiritual enlightenment.

I personally think that people can practise their spirituality with the use of performing arts such as singing and dancing. I don't think that today's regular popular concert festival is a way where people necessarily reach some kind of spiritual or religious sensation but more of like an out of body experience that you subjectively may interpet as religious or spiritual. I've myself never reached some sort of enlightenment of this kind but I think I've witnessed it at a concert, (they might also have been on drugs). I do believe that their might be music parties or venues being hosted for people with a spiritual purpose and them are very intricate, but I don't believe normal popular concert is a convincing place to practise their faith or have some spiritual experience. I've been to very sketchy places where I've seen people act non-humanlike in rhythm with the music but I would guess that they were also not sober. Another thing I think of is when there's like a huge convention like a Christian one and thousands of people have come their to exercise their same faith and they play specific music associated with their type of worshipping. I think that these people can get spiritual or religious extra sensational feelings for worshipping in this way, but I wouldn't classify this as a popular music festival or concert because it's specified to a specific audience.
