Foreign students have to learn how to speak, read, write, listen, etc. in english. The process of learning this new language starts with a specific instructor. ESL teachers are certified to teach anyone of any age how to start learning this language. They create a good foundation for these students that help them eventually become proficient in English. ESL teachers will guide these students to be able to communicate to people around them in this new language.

Having students of all cultural backgrounds plays a huge role in the dynamics of the classroom. Students in these classrooms tend to be of all ages with different kinds of proficiency levels. Making sure that the environment of the students stays positive is also super important. If kids don't feel encouraged in their classroom , it will decrease the chances of them taking risks and accepting challenges.

Why do we need it?

Imagine if no one knew how to teach someone else a different language. The world would be running in circles. English as a Second Language is taught to help kids communicate with their peers in this new language correctly. For the future, these students will apply for college in english, work somewhere where english is supposed to be understood, and surrounded by the language all the time.
