The Data Protection Act is when a place keeps all of your personal information and it is against the law for them to share it with anyone else without your permission. At my placement they hold important information like card detail, emergency contacts details and home addresses. It is important that they keep these details safe as if they did get into the wrong person for example with all of these details then a bank card could be coined or with having a person’s address someone could take it/ remember it and go to break into that person's house.

DBS is a check to see if you have any criminal records or to see if you have been barred from being around young children or vulnerable adults. This helps companies recruitment employers as then they know if tis person is safe to work with children and vulnerable adults. DBS will give a list of people to the police who should known.  I need this for my placement because I will be working children of all ages. 

Equality and Diversity is all about treating people fairly, for example, some of the children in my group do have dyslexia so they sometimes take a little longer than other to pick up what I am asking them to do than others. 

It is important to have all of the above in place because child safety is very important. 

I give each of my students a warming and if I feel like they have missed behaved after me having a work with them then I will have a conversation with there gaiden.

You will have around 23 students that will turn up to your session.

Your sessions will take place in large hall at the Lichfield community centre.

You will be teaching for 1-2 hours and your session will start at 5:30 and end at 7:30.

Yes I would mainly like you teach my students skills and techniques to help them develop as all round performers.

Dance in Education/Outreach Drama 

I am currently studying acting Level 4 Higher National at Burton and South Derbyshire College and I am required to carry out a teaching placement with in a community drama setting as part of my unit Outreach drama.  

I would like to Do my 20-hour placement at Team Catalyst International as I think that I could teach the children something new. I have had previous experience working with child such as being a child's entertainer at Drayton Manor Theme park. I have also had experience teaching and leading workshops to children within acting, dancing and singing. Within this placement I will do 20 hours of leading workshops that will help develop the children's skills such as confidence, momentum and physicality as well also improving there Maths and English skills.
