I came into this course not knowing much about all the different search engines we have available to us and I did not know much about any of the digital tools. In week #14 my digital literacy self-assessment score was 92.80%! This was a tremendous jump. I thought I knew all there was to know but I was wrong! I knew how to be secure and safe online. This was taught to be multiple times. I knew how to use Google to the fullest. I always limited myself to only Google. I also brought along my knowledge about google slides. Who does not run straight for google slides for a project? Lastly, I knew how to conduct a basic search. To start I had to reevaluate my time management skills! I had to start over and create a different plan. This helped me all throughout the course. Second I learned how to collaborate with each other online. This is a skill I will use for a life time. Through this I also learned how to use Microsoft teams! My team member set it all up and explained to us how it works and it was amazing. It was very useful when working in a group. Lastly, I learned about CARP and how to create engaging presentations. I will be able to create engaging and interesting projects for my classes next semester and I will also be able to help my classmates as well. I can take a step towards making a positive digital footprint and you never can stop becoming more secure online! I plan you use my knowledge to help my friends with computer issues and maybe even teach them a few things. I also can use my skills in the health field. I can create presentations and infographics to educate my patients.
