So his mother gave us some different essential oils that she knew he liked. We could just rub a small amount on his wrist, and he would smell it when needed (Bryer) </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Movement Maps</p><p>In our classroom, we introduced “Movement Maps”—visual floor guides that help children navigate sensory regulation through choice and play. Each map is a large, laminated path placed on the floor, marked with symbols representing different sensory stations: a quiet tent with soft textures, a jumping spot with mini trampolines, a breathing corner featuring pinwheels and glitter jars, and a rhythm zone with drums and scarves.</p><p>Fatiha</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In my class I use noise cancelling headphones for students that do not like the loud sounds when we are doing music and movement. I also use communication boards for children that are mostly non-verbal. I noticed we are learning sign language while doing this. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>the boy I work with doesn't like most sensory Items but what calms him down is arn and feathers, he likes ripping the threads out of the yarn and pulling the fluff off the feathers, he likes to make little thread balls and throw them in the air, he likes watching them fall. it calms him down and regulates him, especially if we're laying down and listening to nursery rhymes in our sensory room.</p><p>-Garrett</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Spaces for self-regulation are fantastic with books and sensory toys. A small space where the child feels safe. Often, just lying down and cuddling a small teddy helps them, or a small box with sensory toys, or simply lying down and looking at a book. Photos that show different emotions help a lot in this type of spaces too.  (Photography is the calm corner I have in my toddler room.)</p><p>violeta</p>]]></description>
