I am not a fan of cold weather; summer weather is my favorite because the temperature is usually above 70 degrees.  When I am not dressed for winter weather, my lack of preparedness makes me feel like a turtle without its protective shell.  A warm coat, boots, gloves, and a scarf are necessities if you live in Wisconsin.  Hopefully, the weather will improve so I can exchange my boots for sandals.  Bring on the sun!  

Curious people are the ones who are never afraid of a challenge, always wondering, and looking for the next answer. Without them, where would we be? Curiosity drives people to find answers to questions they didn't even know they had. Without curiosity our world would be a much different place.

Avoid, I have to avoid my friends, strangers on walks, family members, all because of a contagious virus. I don't get to see my friends and have fun with them. I don't see my teachers everyday and greet them, with a wave or a hug. It's pure and utterly annoying that I have to avoid everyone during this time. I feel like a turtle hiding in my shell trying to avoid everyone as much as possible. However, I understand the consequences if I go out and spread the virus, I will feel guilty, so I listen to the rules and stay at home.

Soccer is a sport that I really love and is a passion of mine. I love playing soccer because it is an active sport and involves putting that hard work in and practicing. This virus has pulled me away from my team and has cancelled all my games and practices. However, I have been practicing a lot lately because we have so much time. I also have a great team that is very supportive and are great soccer players. I always looked forward to going to practices or games so that I could spend time with my teammates. I'm missing them a lot.

I'm not a lover of frogs; though there was a large one in my backyard. He looked like a swamp monster in the making. My dad picked him up with his yellow gloves and then started walking over towards the woods in our backyard. This animal looked slimy, wet, and coarse. Sadly, the woods are dark and mysterious just like the night. He was probably annoyed of going back into the woods that he was just in.

There was a curious hamster named Billy. Billy was living in the wild; but he got trapped in a home. The kids took him as a pet and he acted like one, but in his heart, he just wanted to be with his family no matter how much care the family was giving to him. But sadly, he had to remain with the family for the rest of his life and never got to see his real family. This clearly shows the saying “curiosity killed the cat”.

There  are many things that I am curious about like how they can predict the weather. Also, I am curious about how they make phones and how you can text and make calls just online and do all of this stuff on a phone. I just think it’s amazing.

Pop Tarts are really good to eat for breakfast. They give you a fresh start to the day. I like to eat them right out of the wrapper, but some prefer to toast them instead. You can eat them on the go when you have a place you need to get to. They are also a good snack for school. My favorite flavor is Berry. Maybe sometime we could get out to the store and restock on the Pop Tarts in the house.

I have never really liked soccer, but I have a lot of friends who enjoy the sport a lot and they are all very good at it and they love it too. Soccer is a hard sport and you have to be a strong person, both mentally and physically for many reasons. You also get to be a part of a team, which is a special thing.

Some say that this is easy, but you also have defenders trying to steal the ball from you. That adds a whole new level to the game.

My sister is 14 years old, so sometimes it’s best to avoid her. If I don’t, I’m in danger of yelling, shoving, and anger. I have to admit that sometimes it’s fun to push her buttons, but after knowing her for 12 years I know that it’s a bad idea. When and if I do make her mad, the best thing to do, is to not ask her for anything, and to stay out of her path.

About a year ago I went to a soccer game. They were asking for people to play soccer with and I raised my hand high. They picked a grandma instead of me. The grandma was walking very slowly to the soccer field. During the time she was walking I went to Walmart. I bought a old lady wig and costume I put it on and then got back to the soccer court the grandma was still walking down to the soccer field so I started to walk down a little bit faster than before I knew it I was at the soccer court playing soccer with the soccer players, until, my wig fell off and they kicked me out of the place. To this day I am banned.

I found some very SHINY gold yesterday in my backyard and I gave it to a guy who told me it was fake and he called it hard and not real. But then the SHINY piece of gold grunted  and said, “I AM REAL! YOU WEIRDO!!!” Then the man fainted and the shiny talking piece of gold laughed!

The rat approached the penny, which was glinting in the sun. “Shiny! Shiny!!! I need it for my collection.” The rat grabs the penny and rushes down the dark, grimy, slimy, sewer, to its home. It throws the penny into its collection of shiny items and admires them from afar. His pile is full of items that have found their way into the sewer. Trophies, coins, even a statue of Abraham Lincoln.

I like pop tarts they tast pretty good my parents never buy them but i still have them sometimes. Pop tarts can have different flavors and can be toasted. My grandma bought me a lot and i would always have them toasted because of how much better they toasted. I would try to try all the flavors and would have a lot of fun.

When I got home from basketball practice, I saw something shiny in the yard. I walked over to it and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was gold! A million thoughts raced through my mind but the one I had settled on was a trampoline. 

I ran to show my family but was stopped by someone wearing a black suit.

My cousins have a dog named Mia. Mia is curious and loves to run around like no one is watching her. Despite he crazy long legs, ( which by the way she has no idea what to do with) deep bark ( which is a little scary sometimes), and she still is a loving, gentle companion.

 When you think shiny, what do you think? I think treasure and Golem, from Lord of the Rings.  Shiny can mean many things, such as a shiny personality, or a shiny day.  But really, shiny means adventure to me.  I used to love to collect shiny things and pretend to trade them for things.  I would play for hours with my shiny Hot Wheels cars, and leave my other ones in the dust, or rather, collecting dust.  Pirates of the Carribean, one of my favorite movie series, is filled with adventure over shiny items.  Especially Jack Sparrow, with his nagging ability to have the shiniest luck in the Seven Seas.  Shiny is a pirates’ greatest treasure, both metaphorically and literally; so I suppose that I have something in common with a fictional movie character!

I try to avoid staying inside during quarantine because I have no were to go and I try to be active outside. Like bouncing on my trampling, or playing catch with my brother.

My dog Trippy is curious. He's always sniffing around the backyard, and he loves looking out the window at everyone who passes by. My neighbors have a woods behind their house and we often find him across the street getting into trouble.

One night, my neighbors and my family were all having a bonfire.  Later that night when we were sleeping we heard a big crack; it was the big tree in my neighbors backyard.  It had snapped and almost fell on my neighbor's house. The next day we called an arborist, also known as a tree surgeon to come get the branch down. Me, my mom and dad and all of the neighbors had to avoid that area just in case it had fallen. We all watched this guy climb the tree with a bungee around him, and cleat spikes on his feet to help him climb.

My cats are very curious. They always manage to get into things that they're not supposed to. They love to play and they love to find new things. You can always find them in the weirdest of places.  They are very curious and a little naughty but I still love them to death.

  I stare at the screen as it goes blank, realizing what just happened. “What? What was the N/A supposed to mean? Pop tarts? I can’t just eat that, I think to myself. I’ll be like a turtle in a week!”

 I float over in the kitchen to the shelf labeled “EMERGENCY FOOD” I rip the only bag on the surface, and peek my head into it. Pop tarts. POP TARTS. The only thing i’m going to eat. I leave the floating mess around the room and head to the cupola viewing the beautiful sun poking it’s light rays above the smooth surface of Titan. For a moment I let go and close my eyes, thinking of how long the next shuttle will take to get here, if it even does.

 I then take myself back to reality, and move towards the kitchen.

Everyone is born with a trait of curiosity. Even if you don’t think you are curious, you are! But what does curiosity mean? Curiosity is the fact of wondering about something or questioning something. Even if it’s a not that big of a deal question, you're still curious about it. People tend to question  curiosity and ask how it impacts you. Well, in my opinion it makes your brain grow and helps you in life.

I love my dog Bowie. He is adorable, fluffy, and loves hugs. Whenever I need it he is always there with a hug and a snuggle. However, he is such a curious dog! He is always sniffing, eating, and licking anything he can get his little paws on. So while he is so cute to my family and me, we always have to have an open eye out for the little sly fox in the family. (Bowie)

         All of a sudden a huge frog jumped out of nowhere from the pond a knight on his morning stroll was passing by. As you could imagine, the knight was very frightened, as seeing a giant frog in the land he was in was about as likely as pigs flying, so he asked the frog what he was doing.

         “I have come to rescue my friend from the castle,” said the frog “She was taken captive by the queen for a pet.” He went along and came to the castle to rescue his friend, a turtle named Amber. 

         “How dare you take my friend,” said the frog to the queen, and she fainted at the sight of him. Then he ran away with Amber to a lovely forest with a huge pond filled with fish for them to catch and plants for them to eat and beautiful flowers everywhere!

Pop Tarts are a fan favorite. They are  delicious and you can eat them for breakfast or as a snack. They have fun flavors like Oreo, cinnamon and even fruit loop. But my personal favorite is ice cream sundae. Lots of people choose to toast their pop tarts or they are  like me and prefer them fresh out of the package. I don’t know what it is that gets people going crazy over them is the fun filling, the fun colors, or the amazing taste, I don’t know you tell me.

Every day if I see a spider, I avoid it. I avoid spiders because they are like big monsters and I hate them. Even though most Spiders are harmless, some can be very deadly. Knowing that information, some people might only avoid the deadly spiders, but I on the other hand avoid all spiders. If I was a spider I would not know what to do. I guess I would go along and do what most spiders do: make webs to catch their food.

My little cousins are always curious about different things no matter what the thing is. They will always find a way to be curious and they usually find the thing that they are curious about. They have so much imagination, so their curiosity is endless. Some of my cousins are really little, like 2, 3, 4, and 5. I am the oldest cousin so I get to see all of their curiosity and as they grow up I get to see how their curiosity changes.

I am a curious boy. Sometimes that's a good thing. And sometimes that's a bad thing. For example, I ask too many questions and that drives my mother crazy. I always want to know how things work and what causes them, so I look through youtube for hours, if I could. But at the end of the day I like my curiosity, because I wouldn't know what to do without it.

If anyone knows Amelia Lilith Rose, I HATE my curiosity it drives me insane! One day at school, I saw a kid sneak into the Teachers lounge and thanks to my curious self I started looking around for cameras seeing if anyone would notice if I looked through the windows where a curtain that covered them was just opened enough. Looking around there was one facing the other way no wonder they could sneak in. I went towards the window trying to look as natural as possible. Of course there was a teacher walking by, now what do I do? I stopped and said hello as they briskly passed. As I looked into the room the kid was… wait what?!?! They were talking to a teacher, well looks like they had permission and were told to make sure no kids were upset they got to go in there… I think that he is the teacher's kid just saying hello? I can’t tell, it's hard to hear through the glass. I quickly went back to class without going to the restroom. The reason I was there, great.

“Hey! Here! Pass the ball!” A kid yelled.

I assumed some other kids were playing a game that included a ball like soccer, or basketball. “You, on the bench!” Someone yelled. 

It sounded like they were talking to me. I turned around to find a few kids staring me down waiting for the ball that awaited from behind the bench. I leaned over and grabbed the ball. I threw it up a few times and watched the black and white on the ball blend into a sad grey. 

“Well? Are you going to throw it back?” One of them finally asked.

 I looked at it a little longer. FLING! I threw it back to them and watched it bounce off of the ground straight into the face of someone who was teasing a member of the other team. I grinned wider than the space I was told to keep from strangers because of the Corona virus, and turned back around to sit down. Karma does come back.

As my friends and I stepped upon the boat, the pink and orange painted sky began to fade to black. Independence Day of 2019 was coming to an end. The boat swayed back and forth while floating in the water. Mosquitoes were swarming everyone. The sound of laughter, yelling, and water lapping could be heard throughout the big lake. The shiny fireworks went off one by one and bright sparklers were held by everyone. As the excitement dimmed down and mosquitoes multiplied, people headed inside. A day full of swimming, parades, and spending time together tired everyone out. It had been a successful Independence Day.

Dear Diary, 

Today I went to a Poptart factory. It was all kinds of awesome. You’d expect the place to smell like a poptart but it actually smelt like a sugar tornado! It was utterly sweet. Then we got to see how they made poptarts. I nearly fainted when I saw that they put drizzling chocolate  in the tarts and they flavor them with fresh strawberries. The best part of the whole trip was the taste test. They gave each of us little bars of their new flavor: triple berry yum. I had never tasted anything better in my life. If that can’t top the most amazing day ever, my mom took a picture with the poptart mascot. Total win.

Faith has never been very extraordinary. Quite the opposite, really. She’s never had much passion for anything, or curiosity, or anything of the sort. Though at this particular moment, something entirely unknown came over her. When she stumbled upon this place that she’d never seen before, she felt that it was her destiny for her to find it. A dreary and ominous stone tower cast a shadow over her, like a beacon of doom. It’s crumbling walls seemed ready to collapse like a playing card castle at the smallest sneeze, its door was rotting and half-way hanging off its hinges, with rainwater still seeping through its cracked, sagging roof now flooding out from inside. (It had rained a few hours ago so this was odd, but went unnoticed by Faith.) She knew she ought to say, “Creepy,” and just dash home. And yet she felt somehow,  enchanted...

           On a planet named Earth, the third in it’s solar system, a deafening boom could be heard at the crack of dawn. A meteor had struck. But this was no ordinary meteor. Within minutes of crashing into Earth, the meteor had begun to glow a bright blue. And then with a hiss the meteor opened. Two doors swung out and a strange and curious creature emerged. This creature was oddly humanoid but his skin was deep blue and as thick as armor. As soon as he stepped out he began to grow, to mutate. On his planet they were almost a light year away from the sun and have never been exposed to this sort of light and uv rays. Within seconds he became a beast which the human race had never seen the likes of before. He was no longer human like, now he could have easily been mistaken as a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex. With one thundering step after another, he began his journey to rid the Earth of its most harmful species.

Pop tarts are a good breakfast that also taste amazing, look different than most breakfast, and have a wide variety of flavors, and there are also several different ways to make them. Cold, or hot. I don't have Pop Tarts very much, but when I do they always taste great. I wish I ate them more often. I usually only eat them as a snack instead of breakfast.

I think shiny objects are very pretty and cool to look at in night. For example, you can see the stars or the moon at night while they shine in the night sky. Shiny objects could attract certain things like people or animals, how you can know if you're attracted to something if it catches your eye and your curisos of what it is, animals and people could both do this. People tend to be smarter than animals to follow it or know if it's dangerous. Animals tend to be “dumber” and would want to see what it is, not knowing danger or something could be coming for them.

I used to play soccer; I was not the biggest fan when I was playing it, but my sister played soccer up until 8th grade. The environment was actually really cool for me. I liked being there, and I made some new friends (the siblings of my sister’s teammates) and we would throw a football around. So, soccer was fun for me but not me actually playing it.

Winter is my least favorite season. It is just way too cold and I don't like to play in the snow I also don't like it because when you are in the snow you get all wet. Another reason why I don’t like winter is because it gets all over the concrete and makes it slippery and you could fall and really hurt yourself.

Winter is one of my favorite seasons, I just love the pretty snow falls and when the bright sunlight shines on the snow. I love playing in the snow, tubing, skiing, snow ball fights and sledding in the winter. When I come inside from the cold I always love the warmth and taste of hot chocolate. However, since it's winter I get very cold, very easily. So my solution for my problem is to put lots of layers on and stay safe.

Some say mud is gross, or some say it is amazing. Well, mud is dirty, but it is where a lot of living things live. Where you can find mud is probably in a swamp or even in your backyard! Mud happens to become itself by rain. It starts out being regular dry soil, but after it rains, everything is wet and muddy.

Winter is my favorite season. I like the cold, I always have. I have always loved winter because I love snow and I just like  cold weather in general. This is quite odd because the rest of my family hates winter and they like summer a lot more.  I hate being hot and I have always hated summer weather. I was also born in a snow storm because my birthday is in December.

Mud is something that I would play with when I was a little. At my grandma’s house me and my cousin had a play kitchen and we wold make mud pies all the time. Mud was something that i would just love to play with, I loved the texture, and the way i would get so messy. When me and my cousin would get together that's all we wanted to do make a big mess. All little kids are messy, and love to make a mess, that’s just what kids like to do.

We walked down to the pond behind our house, the wet mud clinging to our shoes, nets clutched in our hands dragging behind us, hoping to catch a frog or tadpole. I step close to the water and hundreds of creatures frolic away from me, we all laugh as we continue to circle the pond for the perfect place to catch a frog.

Spaghetti is the favorite food of Papyrus the skeleton. He always cooks spaghetti (even though he’s not very good) and feeds it to those humans whom he wishes to capture, in the hope that they  will be too distracted by his Italian dish that they forget to progress through the game. Because of the cold climate of his hometown, Snowdin the spaghetti just freezes to the plate. His brother, Sans doesn’t have much of a taste for Papyrus’s cooking, though Undyne, his mentor and role model, is supportive of his ‘talent’. She is his teacher after all, and the head of the royal guard which he wishes to join. Despite his repetitive failure at pretty much everything but building traps, he always has the same thing to say. “NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!...  heh.”

BANG!!!! The kickball soared into the air as the second base runner ran on their way to third and home plate. As he neared home, an outfielder launched the ball in their direction. The runner quickly saw this, and slid to the base. As the runner noticed they were safe, their pants were not. They were covered in mud!

Drums are a musical instrument, but they have war history. Drums were used by drummer boys in wars to tell soldiers what to do, and commands. The boys would play tunes on the drum, and those would tell soldiers what to do. Drummer boys were very essential to wars back then, but now we have radios to communicate.

It was a sunny  day, everyone was happy. There was a brilliant fairy, laying in the grass. People came to her to ask her about the questions of their life. She happily answered them.

The everlasting winter has struck the land; No one can stop it! The winter is dark, cold, and wet.  But that does not stop Buddy Birmish from trying to stop it. He travels all the land and comes to a huge mountain. In it, he ventures deep. We are told, he discovered a strange element. Buddy rushed home and threw a bunch of parts together. The final piece was the strange element. As soon as it came in contact with the materials, there was a huge explosion. Floating in front of him was a strange crossbow. When he fired it outside, his yard turned into a pocket of spring. He made some adjustments and shot into the air. When it came back down, Winter had left.

One day a man was eating some spaghetti and he found a piece that looked like a rabbit. He ate it and he spat it out on his plate and the spaghetti piece turned out to be a rabbit! The Guy screamed and he said: “My spaghetti is made out of rabbits!”

When I was little I hated mud,  but now I don't mind it. It’s still really gross, but I don't think about it so much. when I touch it I used to think of worms and other dead animals, but not the we had camp whitcomb i'm more scared because I actually Fell in the mud doing the muck pond.

Dirt and water are the creators of mud. People stomp in the mud causing wet and muddy shoes or socks. Some people enjoy the mud but others might worry about expensive shoes getting ruined. Personally, I used to love playing in the mud when I was younger. I would stomp, kick, and even sometimes make my own mud.

My dog Pickles loves to roll around on the ground- no matter where the ground, or what she’s rolling on, is.  Sometimes she comes back inside the house smelling like a sewer.  Sometimes she has a tint of green.  But, dogs seem to love mud.  She’s always kicking up dirt and grime when she does her business, getting mud all over her coat and all over everything on her blind side.  Thankfully, most of it is rolled off once she rolls around somewhere else in the grass.

I love drumming. I actually have a drum set at my house that I use all the time I play the drums in band and am very good at them, my grandpa plays in a perfessional band and he drums.

My dad hates winter. He is always talking about how he had to snowblow, shovel, and how it is always so cold! Since we have a cabin up north for the summer, no wonder he wouldn't like the cold winter. Just thinking about the cabin up north makes us all think of warm happy memories. However, my mom is usually the optimist saying, “what about sledding, or hot chocolate, or snuggling up on the couch for a movie?” If you had the option, what would you choose? Winter or simmer?

One of my dogs is brilliant to me because he can sit, shake and can play fetch. But sometimes he does not let go of the ball so I have to chase after him but to me he is a brilliant dog.

I love winter! Every winter we go up north and go snowmobiling either in Minocqua, Eagle River, or Three Lakes. My sister and I usually bring a friend because my sister has her own snowmobile that she drives with her friend and then I ride with my dad because he is the fastest and my friend rides with my mom.

When playing a sport we have to be fast. When in a tricky situation we have to think fast. Even when we are taking our time there will always be an urge to hustle. Why? What would the world be like if instead we played sports slowly?Sure, some things we should take our time on like visiting beautiful places, but if everything was slow, would we really be able to enjoy it as much as we thought?  We would love to have more than one moment to take in the things around us before we have to hustle again, right? Truth is,  we wouldn't . It would be boring and event less. As humans we want action. We want one event after another. If that means that everything would have to be fast moving, then that’s the way it should be. We have to live in the moment because life as fast- moving as it is, is the best we can get.

Spaghetti is not my favorite dinner food but it’s good nevertheless. I love spaghetti noodles with cheese. I can’t have the meatballs; noodles and cheese are better together anyway. People say that spaghetti is an Italian dinner food. I like most Italian foods, they are always so good. Some Italian foods are pizza, spaghetti, and lasagna. When I think of Italian foods I think of happiness even on a bad day.

 Mud. I like rolling around in mud. It feels very nice on my skin. And, I heard that it is supposed to be good for your skin. I will eat mud sometimes, sometimes it has worms in it to. It tastes very nice. People stare at me while I eat the mud but I don’t care. I do what makes me happy. I don’t know many people who eat mud like me. I know people who take mud baths but they don't eat mud. Sometimes I will go to restaurants with Layla T. (I got her permission to say that) and we bring our own bag of mud to eat.

Gorillas are interesting creatures.  I’ve only ever seen them in zoos or through the internet. But, when I go to the zoo if people walk up to their cage they want to see them move and climb so some of them tap on glass, this can cause them to beat on their chest like a drum. I think it is to claim territory, or maybe to scare away other creatures (the kids run screaming). Gorillas really are quite interesting.

Winter is one of my favorite seasons, mostly because the fashion for winter is really pretty. Another reason why I love winter is that christmas comes around in winter and Christmas is amazing. You get to give and take presents. I chose winter because the pretty snow and trees and fireplaces on it I think it's so aesthetic and beautiful to watch and be a part of!.

Winter is by far my favorite season. I love the fact that I still have a chance to play the sport I love, soccer. I also get so excited when it is finally snowing enough to go sledding outside with either my friends or my siblings. I also enjoy winter since I get to wear sweats and a sweatshirt daily. Winter has overall brought so many memories and laughs to me. I can't wait for winter to start again!

Winter isn't my favorite season, but I do like when my family or friends come over to my house and we throw snowballs, sled, build snowmans, and just have fun in the snow. But my favorite season is summer, because it is warm, my birthday is in the summer, and because you can go outside and play or go in a pool or hot tub. I just don’t like winter as much, because you sometimes get snow stuck in your boots and your feet/socks get wet. But I still think winter is a very beautiful season, with the snow on the trees and the fun pictures you can take.

I was running through the thick Oak forest in northern Wisconsin as my foot landed in a puddle of mud situated right in the center of the trail. I thought nothing of it and ran on. But I couldn’t. I tripped and fell on the forest floor. I looked at my foot and found a terrifying sight. All around me the mud was rising up and within a few seconds, two human-like hands made of mud grabbed my leg. And my scream could be heard from the entirety of the forest.

I am so unlucky, maybe the unluckiest person ever. One day,while walking to high school, I got splashed with MUD. Gross! I got some off, but then it happened again! My clothes were already wet, they didn’t need to be full-on stained! Then I heard the following: “OMG I AM SO SORRY!” At least someone apologized. Wait, I knew that voice. As I cleaned off my face with a clean tissue I had in my backpack, I saw my crush standing right there! Because I was so unlucky, I sneezed on him. Why did this have to happen to me? I had to wear my extra clothes that I hate! Thanks to my muddy, unlucky self.

My birthday is right in front of winter, so I am a fan of winter. For my birthday, (I am not a fan of big parties) but my dad will usually take me to a Bucks game for my birthday present. I wake up to the startling buzz of my alarm clock. I open my eyes and see my room is dark and gloomy due to the winter weather. I drag myself out of bed and get ready, putting on my most comfortable clothes to prevent being cold. I pack my homework from last night and my lunch for today in my backpack. As I step out the door, I shiver as snow whips into my face. The snow is a blinding white, making it hard for me to find my mom's car that was left in the driveway. I wish she hadn't left it outside, It is as cold as ice in the car. It takes what seems like forever to heat up the car.

I love spaghetti it is my favorite thing to eat on a Sunday afternoon, but something I like even more than spaghetti is lasagna. It is the only thing I like more than spaghetti. I  absolutely love the noodles in lasagna and the sauce is the best part, when my dad asks “what do you want for dinner? Lasagna or  Spaghetti?" I’m thinking “WHY WOULD YOU ASK ME THAT?!” Normally when we decide to have lasagna we usually decide a bit before dinner, because I make the most amazing sauce. (not to brag) It was my grandmother's recipe and she gave it to us and said “I want you guys to have this, it was your mother's favorite sauce.” Now we make it with everything we can, spaghetti, lasagna, ravioli,and anything else you can think of.

I love to play in mud after it rains. It's so fun. But most of all I love to play with my brothers in mud, we would wrestle,play football and get mud masks. Sometimes after we use a piece container we would wash it out and pretend to have a cooking show with it. But sometimes it's just not my thing like when you're running in grass and you slip and on the mud i mean that not really fun. Or when you are riding your bike and a car comes by and splashes you with water...OOF!! not fun. But one day when it rains get you siblings out or your dog and play with them in the mud.

Whenever it rains, my yard gets muddy, and my dog likes mud. But if she plays in it, her white fur will get all dirty and she’s gonna need a bath. My dog is very fast. She can run like a lightning bolt. She will chase squirrels and birds, and she loves to run laps around the backyard. My dog is a black lab and she has the most energy I have ever seen. She is so playful and she can walk/run for miles without getting tired. Music has always been a big part of my family. My dad was in a band when he was younger, with my uncle and some of his friends, they performed everywhere. My dad still plays guitar with one of his friends and performs at places today just for fun. I also like to sing and play the guitar, I’m okay at the guitar but I am better at singing than anything else musically wise. Music is and has always been important to my family for lots of reasons.

I walked into the main hall and what do I see? Hundreds of droids all dancing and beeping! What an astonishing, amazing, and absurd sight, I think in my head. I try to try to turn one off and it zaps me! "Aargh!" I yell dashing back. Something is clearly wrong. I activate an EMP blast and all the droids shut down; only temporarily though. I see that all of them have a strange metal attachment! That must be the cause of their strange behavior, I think to myself.

I love listening to music. It is refreshing and calming in some situations and just fun in other situations. Music is awesome and i love it. It is really good and is just awesome. A world without music is a world I don’t want to be in.

Sunshine can be a blessing, or it can be a curse.  When you enter the stages of spring, you realize how much you missed this light.  These overcast days dampen your sunshine attitude.  However, once your summer days are coming to a close, you embrace the cold, and you want those overcast and snowy days.  Sunshine has many ups, but an equal amount of downs.  Sun burns against tans, heat against light.  No matter where you are (above ground and outside), you will have sunshine.  Same as cold, to battle the sunlight, high in the stars, even in galaxies far, far away.  

On one Saturday afternoon we went to my grandma's house,and the sunshine was out. Me and my cousins did water balloon fights. I had a shirt on,  but the boys didn't .We also used ice cold water in the balloons so everytime we hit someone they were freezing but then my brother came up to me with a bucket of cold water and poured it all on me. So then I got them with the hose!

On some days there might be a weather calling for hats, gloves, boots, and jackets. But when the sunshine comes out people are happy to not have to wear everything all bundled up. The sun is a main part of our weather system. If you are furthest away from the sun it will make your area of earth even colder. When the sun's rays  hit the Earth we feel more heat at the equator because the sun's rays reach the equator before the poles. Hopefully we can get some more sunny weather like last weekend.

“SHOOM!” Kylo ren’s shuttle was on top of the resistance cruiser!  He boarded the ship with his stormtroopers. “Find the droids,” He ordered them. “I want R-2d2 c3po and bb8 alive.” Off in the distance, the 3 droids hid from Kylo Ren, the other resistance troops had hid somewhere else in the ship. “Oh dear” Said c3po. “I have a bad feeling about this!”

         Amber looked up and realized it was time for a break. She was looking forward to going to Naboo’s best bakery and getting a pastry. All of the sudden a huge ship raced by and landed in the middle of the spaceport. 

      It's the millenium falcon, she thought, I wonder why it’s here. 

       Then an unfamiliar Ewok and pilot wearing a rebel helmet stepped out. It was plain to see the were looking for something, or someone.

       “Does anyone know where Autumn Moonrun is,” the pilot asked. Amber gasped and stepped back. What do they want with my friend?

I love  music. I am a singer in MCC (Milwaukee children's choir) and I love it. I listen to music when I'm reading or doing chores or anything else. I don’t really know what kind of music i like.

Music is very soothing. I listen to music when I eat, play games, and make crafts. My favorite song is Build me up Buttercup by the Foundations. You should listen to it! It is very nice. I listen to music when I eat worms too. Music is something almost everybody knows of. I know a lot of people who listen to it while they run, but I don’t run.

My Dad loves Star Wars; so much so that in our old house, he had a whole room in the basement dedicated to all his Star Wars things. On a warm July afternoon, my cousin and I sat on the hot, metal bleachers watching my brother's baseball game. The hot sunshine beat down on everyone in the crowd. My cousin and I got up to explore around the field. Behind a building, we found a blue and black vacant playground. We sat on the swings, hoping for the time to pass quickly so we could go home. Although I like to support my brother, the scorching sun burned my skin and caused me to sweat. I wanted to go home, but I made sure not to complain, so my brother could have supporters at his game and my family could enjoy watching.

Once I went to sing at the opera. I was super nervous before the show. Though I had been practicing for months, I didn’t feel prepared. Suddenly, before going on stage, I froze! Someone had to carry me on because every voice and every person mattered in order for it to sound right. The only thing I could do was listen to the music and take it in. When it was my turn to sing , I squeaked a sound then I hurled on stage. I ruined the concert for everyone and now all operas know me as a disgrace to music.

I live by music. Music is the only thing that helps me calm down because I am a hot head. It’s not like it’s a secret. I try to keep my earbuds hidden so teachers who don’t know me don’t take them away. The scariest day of my life was when a teacher took them away. I was a freshman and I didn’t have wireless earbuds, I also had just gotten a haircut, so I wasn’t able to hide the wire. I wore a sweater that day so I could put the wire through and no one would notice. “Hello,” most teachers said as I passed to my class. I waved, or most times noded back to them. When I got near my first class, Mr. Dorito, the teacher from the class across from mine, stopped me. He was always intimidating, but now he was flat out terrifying as he yanked out my earbuds. I didn’t hear one word that he said but he definitely said something he thought was important. I was mad, scared, and sad. I didn’t really know what to feel, and that fueled my anger. I yanked my earbuds out of his hand and left. My mom talked to me that day after school, but then I went to bed and went on with life like nothing had happened.

Battle droids were used in the clone wars as the main army of the separatists, they were very cheap to make but very bad at their jobs, the most common version was the b-1 battle droid, which uses a standard blaster. They were not good compared to the clowns of the republic.

            The ground shook as the droids landed. And as these 3 story tall droids began walking on the face of the Earth, cities shook, skyscrapers fell. Each major city, whether it was a capitol, or had a large population, was targeted. An alien race had set its sight on Earth. Envious of its resources, it sought to wipe out the species on Earth that would be the most resilient. The humans fought back. During that year there were more technological advancements made then there were in the last decade.

Music is amazing. It has the power to bring you out of boredom and make things more fun. It can invoke emotion in you or change the mood of a situation. It makes anime battles more epic. It makes video games more fun. It makes movies more entertaining. It makes car trips move faster. It makes people happier.

I could spend hours listening to music, but I prefer to listen to music at my summer camp even though sometimes they can't always play the songs i want. It’s like I'm surrounded by my other family and we are all just laughing and having so much fun together, every time I go to that camp the air fills with laughter and joy. It is the place where good times are born. Sadly the only time you can see this family together is during the summer time, so every summer me and my brother and sister head of to our second family.

Yoda was first introduced in Star Wars A New Hope where Luke Skywalker met him on a planet he was told to go to see master Yoda. Yoda started to teach Luke the ways of the force which if you’ve seen the movie, has a big impact on Luke.

Today was  the day the Smith family was getting their picture taken, all 7 of them in all.  Now this may not seem like a challenge but boy it is.

My step brother Aiden and I have chores, but we don't do them right away. We also do the chores  when we finish all of our school. I don’t like doing chores but we have to help out around the house.  To do that we usually do the dishes and  I fold the laundry.

After he sniffed the flower he gave it to a friend, named mister cat.Tiny Tim the turtle  and Mister Cat had tons of fun together and played in the flower patch all day. Mister Cat got tired so they went to Mister Cats house and had a sleepover, and again had lots and lots of fun.

One of my favorite things to do is play video games. My favorite by far is NBA 2k20. This is a game based on the NBA, with many different game modes. Plus, you are able to play online with friends.

At my grandparents house there was a tree; the perfect tree for a fort. There were five branches coming out from the stump and a small open space in the middle. My sister and I made shelves with scraps of wood and wedged them between the branches placing my grandpa's little wood turtles upon them. We haven't been there in two years and my grandpa is gone now, but I will never forget the days of constant laughing, giggles, and endless fun.

“Excuse me, boss, but you're considering working with a being beyond our capabilities, capabilities that could wipe us out with a snap of your finger?”

“Not just considering. We will. They will evolve and develop the human race and soon we could hope to be more than we ever have thought we could’ve been. Everyone will then be important to life.”

“I see where you're going,” Josh explains, “But have you considered other outcomes?”

“We don’t have any other option, which you clearly don’t understand. We either do this and live, or die trying,” everyone gasps as the boss waves his finger at Josh, “Unless you have a better idea.”

During Mother’s day weekend we planted a bunch  of flowers and I forgot how much I love planting them and love the colors. I even went to my grandma's and planted more, it is so cal to do. I often take pictures of things or moments that I want to remember. For me, pictures are the perfect souvenir. A picture is something that you can keep forever. I would love to keep a part of every memory that I would want to remember, whether it be something you can hold in your hands or a picture that you can remember the exact moment in your heart. Just a quick snap of a picture for everything you want to remember would be so easy to take. If only that were true. There are so many great things in our lives, too many to capture pictures of. Even if we could take pictures of everything, it wouldn’t help us remember everything, only to forget it. The more we have, the more we forget because many physical things can easily get lost. On the other hand, memories will be there forever. So, snapping a few pictures in our minds may be the best way to keep a memory.

Unlike most kids and teens, I do not mind chores. My room is always clean and my parents never have to remind me to clean my room or closet. My dad thinks I have a problem because I clean too much, and he sometimes gets mad at me for cleaning too. I clean my closet and drawers once a week and re- organize them too. Chores are fun to me, which lots of people think is weird, but I personally don't mind them.

‘I don't have chores;I wonder what it's like?” I think to myself. I have never had required chores, I have never got paid for doing them or rewarded because in my house, it's just a standard to make your bed in the morning or unload the dishwasher once it's clean.

I might respond with, “I don't have chores; I am required to do my own work, not my parents have to pay me or they do it for me.” 

“WHAT?!” my friends’ might respond with shock.

I find that chores might help when your older and actually run a house, but not getting paid for the deed you do rather you do the work and you're done, because in the real world once you're an adult you don't get paid, or don't reward for emptying the dishwasher or making your bed before work. I find not getting rewarded for a chore or chores is better practice for the real world.

Movies are something that entertains many people, especially little kids because there are so many movies to choose from. People also love going to the movie theater to see movies. There are all different types of movies to watch,  like funny, sad, scary, happy, and more. My favorite snack when watching a movie is popcorn! Turtles are mysterious creatures they hide in there shells and hide under water for long periods of time and we don’t know where they go, there was one time we went to little pond and we found painted turtles floating on the top and in a split second they were gone then we saw there little heads popping out of the water by the lily pads then they were gone again, turtles are very mysterious creatures.

One day, I was at my grandma and grandpas house in Hartford. We were walking out to the  driveway to get in the car and than we see… a turtle! It wasn’t just a turtle it was a huge snapping turtle. My grandpa and I went over there to touch because it was just laying there in the driveway. My grandpa goes over to to touch it and realizes that it was blocking the driveway so we couldn’t get the car out to go hiking.

I've been stuck in this castle for too many years. Doing chores after chores for the evil lord.  His chores aren’t even regular ones! I risk my life every day for nothing but a meager room and meal. Half the time for breakfast, it’s so bad mice don’t even eat it. My tiny, cramped, smelly room is the worst accommodation I have ever been in. And I can’t leave. I’m stuck here until I have paid my debt back. Oh why did I get in debt with the evil lord!?!?

I have two favorite types of flowers. The first one is a Rose. Roses have sharp thorns on their stems. There are over 300 different species of roses. A rose is a symbol of love. Roses are usually pink or red. But there can be other colored roses too. Roses typically grow in warm climates like in Florida. My other favorite type of flower is an Iris. There are 260-300 different species of Irises. An Iris is a symbol of significance. Irises mainly grow in gardens and they need lots of sunshine. I also like them because they are my favorite color, blue.

I always love going places and seeing many new things, especially if they are far away or have a very different culture then me. But, one thing that I never liked on those trips was how many pictures we had to take. I’m fine taking a lot but all in a bunch of different unique places. But we always take a billion everywhere we go, even if we have been there before . . .

Word or Phrase: Video games have been helpful to me over quarantine. They have helped me because it has been one of the only ways that I have actually been able to interact with my friends. When we play together, my friends warn me when there is an enemy around, and I do the same for them. We say, “Hey! Watch out for that guy!” Without video games, I may have lost some friendships by not being able to see them. Video games are fun for me, but being able to interact with my friends while staying way more than 6 feet apart is why I really like them.

Chores are the worst. Clean the counter, do the dishes, clean all of the toilets, vacuum, and finally wash the windows. That’s a lot of chores and that all has to be done before Grandma Betty comes! Ugh, I wish I could have help around here. I thought to myself as I started to do my chores. First, cleaning the counter. Not that bad, nothing gross or sticky. All the other chores are much worse than this.

      “I can't believe we are trapped here,” I say to Willow, “I thought this was just a game, not one of the portals.” 

       In my world some video games are portals to different realms, but you have to say on the box if it is a portal or not. The only people with access to portals are wizards and adventurers, not 11 year-olds! Sure we had gotten it in the market, and not the safer option of the video games store, but there is a law about this stuff!

       “I told you this was a bad idea,” I say, “But NOOOOOO. You HAD TO go to the ONE place that doesn’t always follow The Forest’s law.”

       “Relax Hazel,” Willow says, suffering none of my reasonable concerns, “It was the only place with this video game, and the cover looked cool.”

       “You risked our lives because the cover looked COOL!” I scream at her, “Do you even have a portal home!”

       “Uh, sure,” she says, “Now where did I put that?”

       I sigh and shake my head. I would normally have my emergency portal, but it was malfunctioning, and had to be repaired. I should have known Willow would lose hers. I really hope this video game isn’t one of the ones that has dragons in it...

      Wait a moment, I think. Didn’t this game have a dragon on the cover?

      Right on cue, we look behind us and see a beautiful plant-flower hybrid, or more commonly called lily dragon. With its pink, gold, white, and blue scales it’s stunning, but I am more concerned with the fact that it is crushing Willow’s home portal with its claws.

My dad and I are going on a Marvel movie marathon. We are watching all of the M.C.U. Marvel movies. There’s about 22 or 23 if you count Spider-Man Far From Home. I’ve watched almost all 22/23. So far I think my favorite is Avengers Infinity War or any Iron Man movie. I’m so excited for phase 4 to start and they are kicking it off with the new Black Widow movie. Lots of others you can just look it up yourself.

I love video games. My favorite video game to play is Fortnite.  I play it a lot and facetime with my friends while I play with them. Lately, I have started to play a lot longer that I usually do. I wake up earlier than usual, with the feeling of excitement running through my body. It looks as though it is going to be a perfect Christmas when I look out my window to see the snow falling delicately. I rush down the stairs and realize that no one is up. I go down another flight of stairs to find my brother, asleep in his bean bag with his video game controller in hand. He must have stayed up late on his gaming console. I tap his shoulder to harshly to alert him to get up. His eyes open wide with the recognition that it is Christmas morning. We both bolt up the stairs to see my mom with a cup of coffee, sitting on the couch. The Christmas Tree has several presents underneath, all wrapped nicely.

I, Lily Rose, am as slow as a turtle. According to my family most of them are the fastest in the town, and I just didn’t get that from my parents. I am still fast, just not the fastest in school or anywhere really, unless I am alone, and because of this my family calls me Turtle. I have worked so hard to be able to run faster for the race we have every year at the reunion. We switch off between kid and adult racers every year. This year I will win, just like my mom and dad in most of the adult races. My cousins and I were standing at the starting line until “GO!” was shouted by last year's winner, my aunt. We ran. It took nearly 20 minutes, but it felt like at least 5 hours. Always seeing the end so close yet so far, soon I passed one, two, then three, of my cousins. There were two left ahead of me, then one, and they blocked my way! No, the end is too close. I can’t fail. “GO LILY!” Somebody shouted. I couldn’t fail them. I rocketed past the last kid and won in flashing lights. No longer was I the Turtle, I was the Cheetah.

One time I saw a movie with a friend. It was a cool movie where a blue hedgehog went fast. The blue hedgehogs model has to be changed mid production because nobody liked how it looked. It's cool they actually listened to the audience. The hedgehog's name was Sonic.

As the sun shone through the clouds, the first flower bloomed on Earth. But this time the outcome was different than what we are familiar with. A young man had traveled to the age before Earth, to the dawn of time. Little did he know, just being there would be much more disastrous consequences than he could have imagined. He saw the beginning of time itself. At first there was nothing, then there was something. He saw the big bang in front of him, he saw the first particles of matter form before his very eyes. But what he did not account for was flower seed (pollen) that had stuck to his cotton shirt. As the void of space erupted into a flash of light and heat, the seed floated away into the vastness of space. This was not how life originally developed. The meteor that had brought life to Earth never came. But soon, through sheer luck, the seed reached Earth. Life had made it. But it was no use. The timeline of the universe had already been knocked off course. The asteroid that would soon reach Earth to deliver life had been deflected onto a different trajectory due to the gravitational bulge when the human traveled back to the 25th century. When the small seed reached Earth, the flower spread like wildfire. The seed had survived the bitter cold and harsh environment of space. This plant would not die. When the meteor that had wiped out the dinosaurs in the past life-time came, it did nothing to the species. By the 25th century, modern day, these plants, ruled the Earth.

The only chores in my house are taking the dog out for a walk, laundry, and keeping out rooms clean. But ever since Covid-19 has appeared my dad has added another chore to our list of the few we have, and that's getting all our homework done. Normally that would be easy, but since we could literally just sleep instead of doing homework we choose sleep. After I sleep until 10 o’clock in the morning I have already missed my classes. So my dad makes us set 10,000 alarms a day. Just in case we don’t wake up from the other 9,999. If we don't get all our homework done then he makes us do 3 times the amount of chores we do.
