My hand is shivering with nerves as I pick up the cold metal canteen and unscrew the cap. I can feel the canteen on my chapped lips, and the lukewarm water rushing down my throat and through my chest. The helicopter blades rotating above, propelling us to an uncertain fat. As I look down, there's just enough light to see a little village between the mountains. Each square house containing a family that never wanted this war to go to them. If I look close enough, I feel like I can even see people looking up at me. I jerk my head away, imagining that one of those people would have an RPG, ready to fire at any Americans they see. As I turn my head to the East, away from the village, I can see the vast never ending desert rising up into the tall jagged mountains. Right above, the bright red-orange sun about to set, bringing warmth to my body and soul. Below I see Charley Team in their chopper. All the guys smiling. Moving their lips in a way that makes me know they're joking around. 
"Woah", I hear the pilot say through my headset as I feel my body being forced to the right.
"Just a little bit of turbulence", the pilot repeats as he giggles. Around me my teammates are laughing. They look like they're at a party, and I'm there, holding my helmet with all my strength, shaking.
