In this scene the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy ate a devil fruit that changes his whole body into rubber for ever in return he can't swim. This is a big detail because as a pirate your around water 80% of the time. If Luffy's ship brakes he would sink to the bottom unless, his crewmates can save him.

This detail is important because the hat Luffy receives is what makes him want to go out and adventure. This hat means so much to him that he names his whole pirate crew after it. He also carries this iconic stawhat everywhere he goes throughout the whole story. This stawhat is his most prized possession.

This a major detail because you see how luffy gets his first crewmate. Zoro later on becomes the right hand man of luffy and he would do anything for his captain. Zoro also wants to achieve one of the hardest goals of being the world's strongest swordsman.

This detail is huge because this is the first time you see luffy after the 2 year timeskip. We know luffy got way stronger because he was training with the right hand man of the pirate king. Luffy over these 2 years learns what haki is and he trains non-stop so he can master the 3 haki abilities. He only learns how to use the basic forms of haki but later on he finds out there is advanced haki techniques.
