Yes, they would share the same views. My brother, for one, is an active digital and physical artist, doing both drawing and music, specifically playing the guitar. Although he has a great passion for art, he also has a lot of experience dealing with finance through the work he does online and offline. Even though busking as a street artist or performer is a good way to use your hobby, it is not a reliable source of income and should always be backed up by something similar that is more financially reliable. My mother, being a food stall owner and a casting director, also has to deal with money on a daily basis, and would most likely share the same financial concerns about making a living as a busker.

I believe that most parents will disapprove making a living as a street performer. Firstly a street performer cannot earn a fixed income. Many asian parents disaprove this as they want their children to be rich people, and contribute to society. Becoming a street performer does not bring you any glory, anyone can be a street performer if they wanted to whereas being a doctor or lawyer requires training and skills.
Also becoming a street performer requires much time as a short performance wont earn money and asian parents do not want their children to spend a lot of time outside as it is dangerous and unsafe outside.
However because of the fact that it doesnt need much training and that anyone can become it. Many parents feel that it is easy for them to make a living during the holidays

My parents will not support me making a living as a street artist. My parents are on the traditional side, and traditionally a street artist or performer is not a job that I should pursue. Given that my parents pay for my tuition and extra classes for Math and Science highlighted that their hopes of me becoming an artist is just far fetched dream of mine. They may believe that being a busker on the streets is not a stable source of income for me to live comfortably in the future and would expect me to get a job of a reputable status. However other adults I talk to would encourage me to strive for what I want. Once, I told my Geography teacher that I was unsure whether to take up an elective subject that I was passionate in, and that was DNT. She told me that subject combinations are not always about an individual's ability to perform but what interest the person would like to cultivate. On that day, I realised that I had someone who I could share my uncertainties of the future with.

I am certain that many adults will agree with me or share my views when I say that street artists and street performers does not strike us as a good way to make a living. The word "street" itself when thinking about jobs is often associated with being a low paying job and one that is unlikely to have a good or comfortable life while being a "street" job. One example of this would be in the video where it can be seen that the whole booth of the street artist is filled with paintings, this could either mean three things, they just opened shop, their supply is quick or the demand is low. It is known that art takes a long time and that the weather says it was near noon, this means that the demand is low. Painting supplies cost alot of buy and when demand is low, high cost and low profit may not be very appealing taking into account common sense. Thus I feel that many adults will share my views in that making a living as a street artist or street performer is not a good way to make a living

Yes, the topic on making a living as a street artist is not that controversial, and would not bring about many arguments in our society. Although street artists may not earn as much, they are still pursuing their passions and there is nothing wrong with that, that society would want to argue with. However, their financial stability might not be as par as compared to office workers, and they may be struggling, it is still safe to say that living as street artists is not very controversial as it is just a bunch of people trying to earn revenue through something they enjoy and love, thus other adults would share their views about making a living as a street artist without any detrimental repercussions.

However, whenever we go to the job as being an artist, they would always tell me to seek a better occupation as they believe that being an artist or a street performer won't get you anywhere in life as those jobs have low salary and you will need to be very talent in order to get somewhere and to achieve success. However, my brother is the opposite as everytime I've finished an artwork, he would always advise me to sell my artworks online to earn money. Hence, I'm sure that my brother will support me if I were to make a living as a street artist.

Making a living as a street artist or performer would mean that there would not be a stable source of income to live comfortably. Street artists/performers are talented individuals who took their love and passion for art to the next level, by making it their full time career. However, having such a job has also its demerits as it is always deemed as a low level and low paying job. People who work such jobs will be judged heavily on their skills and might have to face people's criticisms. They would have to face this perpetual cycle of depression and hardship. Many street performers could not continue to carry out their jobs as they are heavily demoralised by the views of people. Therefore, we would all agree that making a living as a street artist or performer is not long lasting.

yes i do not think that my parents would share my view in making by street art as they would think that arts is useless and would not make good money. In a way, it is true. Street Art would not be making the greatest amount of money unlike jobs relating technology due to the rapid growth of it. This means that I may not be able to deal with loans that can appear due to low amount of money it may make. This disadvantage of the job is further exaggerated by most Asian parents

i presume my parents would not encourage me to be a street performer as their standards for me is quite high. I can recall them always telling me to strive for the best and be a doctor or a lawyer. However, i beg to differ. Being a street performer does not necessarily mean that it is not a good choice. Being a street performer can help you conquer your fears of stage fright and you can step out of your comfort zone and try new things, but i don't think it is a good choice to be a street performer for the rest of my life as they do not make much money. My parents think so too, hence they do not encourage me to be a street performer.

My parents would share their views about making a living as a street artist or a street performer. As my parents are the ones who usually care for me and wants the best for me. Additionally, my parents are the ones who ones the best for me and sometimes want me to learn to play some instruments because they may want me to learn how to play a certain musical instrument as they want me to enjoy how to enjoy music and appreciate how good and calming music is. For example, I am currently learning how to play the violin as they wish for me to learn how to enjoy playing music in the public and they wish for me to share with others how soothing music can sound to others and sometimes, these parents might say that being a street performer may not earn a lot of money. Another example could be about my parents telling me that being a street performer may sometimes make people jeer at you and sometimes might even call you a trash. Despite that, they might tell us that learning an instrument may help to relieve some stress and that it could help us instead of making us feel stressed out.

If I were to become a street performer/artist, I do not think my parents would share the same views as me. They retain a traditionalist mindset who wants their children to be successful in a field of STEM. They do not view jobs like street performers as a real job as it is not a stable job and there is no fixed salary you can earn. It also feels improper to them as ''regular'' jobs is done under contractual agreements whereas for street performers, you can do it whenever you like. Subconciously, they would develop a stigma of laziness tied to people working these jobs as in their mind, these types of job is not something that they think you have to work hard for. However, things are changing in the view of society. Ever since the pandemic, appreciation for art has exploded into new bounds, with things like japanese animation and art being viewed all over the world. There was also a recent boom of NFTs which became popular with young adults which uses online art to trade for online currency. Thus, these types of jobs is slowly being viewed as any other jobs by society and therefore, a way to earn a living

No they would not share my views about making a living as a street artist or street performer, as time goes by , times have changed, so does art. As much as my parents would assist in supporting me to follow my interest down a career paths I enjoy , it would be very unrealistic as many people would barely pay attention to such talent just on a random street strumming chords or blowing flute, you would see most eyes are already glued to their own gadgets screen, it would be most encouraged to adapt spreading across the digital media where a person can just post an art. Once you turn away from the screen, your art is flooded by likes and comments showing it with positive and constructive feedback without you knowing it till you come back to it the very next day. In brief, I don't think my parents would support unless it is very idealistic idea to pursue as a career of my own.

Our parents want what is most secured for us and want us to have a more comfortable life than what they probably had, instead of what we pursue and have interest for. being a street artist is quite dangerous and our parents would not like this idea.

Yes, my parents would also share the same view as me. They would want me to do something more stable and secure as being a street artist means that there isn't a fixed amount you'll earn each day as it depends on how many customers buy from you. Being a street artist also means that it's your own business, meaning that you need to invest your own money to buy resources and set up the business yourself which is very risky. My parents and I are also not interested in art and they view it as only a source of entertainment, and they rather me do something more common and stable.
