I started by printing the word glitch on a piece of paper. The while scanning it, it deliberately moved the paper around with the goal of distorting the words.

I was listening to Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish when drawing these soft, flowing lines.

275c's artwork of United Strangers served as the basis for this piece.

I scanned the lines I drew into photoshop, and increased the brightness and contrast to blowout the whites and blacks. The next step was to take that into Illustrator and image trace and expand all the times.

Ultimately I ended up pursuing the idea of what a a blueprint of myself would include.

It was important for me to capture my signature style, and therefore I included some of the things that I frequently wear. Including a handmade scrunchie, necklace and reading glasses.

The process involved taking a photo of myself and these items and editing them individually in photoshop. The first step was to desaturate each image, increase the contrast, then run a filter to find the edges.

The final image was then masked with the pen tool, and laid over the familiar colour of a blueprint, changing the blending mode to screen, and adding annotations about each item.
