As the composer of the soundtrack of one of my favourite films, his impact on what I want to do is one of the strongest of my inspirations. He makes amazing use of leitmotifs and uses them to let the audience know what happens or what is happening before it actually happens. He is able to tell a story through his music, and even when i listen to the soundtrack without the visuals, I am able to recall what happens at the point where the piece is played in the movie. I also want to be able to write and compose music for films, and to be able to tell a story through my music alone.

He is able to write and create music that experiments with different keys and modes. He does challenges and such that limit his skills to create something new and out of his comfort zone. I want to be able to push myself outside of what I am comfortable with to create music that can create varieties of different feelings and emotions. I am not interested in creating music that always sounds the same or similar, so being able to create with restraints will allow me to compose different and unique pieces.

Powell had worked with and under John Williams, so naturally he took much inspiration from Powell's original work (Kristin Baver, 2018). He mentioned in an interview that he was amazed at how when composing for a film, he was able to record all of his ideas and all of his themes (motifs) very early on (Scoring Arts, 2020).

Powell was inspired by Edward Elgar's skill of "taking one tune, adapting it, and [creating] variants based on different people," as he had stated in an interview (FilmSpeak+, 2023). He also said in another interview, from 2006, that he felt that music other than Elgar's (and Benjamin Britten's music) sounded ethnic. This is relevant because in the movie X-Men: The Last Stand, his goal was to try and not sound like he took inspiration from another ethnicity, so he took inspiration from Elgar and Benjamin Britten (Dan Goldwasser, 2006).

Ichika Nito has been a fan of Bill Evans since he was 3 years old (Ryan吉他指南, 2023) . The reason being he also wanted to be able to move people with his music and with only one instrument (Ichika Nito, N/A). He originally learnt piano with an inspiration from Bill Evans, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi. His playing style on guitar is very similar to that of piano, where instead of only playing chords, he tapped in between as he said that he did not like the gap you get when playing just chords (Direct Talk, 2021).

Ichika said in an interview that he learnt his tapping style from Tosin Abasi. From analysis and research, Abasi makes use of the whole guitar, "often eschewing his pick to play pseudo-slap-bass riffs on the lower strings and sweeping across the highest reaches of the instrument’s range for solos." (Cillian Breathnach, 2022) (Tosin Abasi, 2021). This style of playing is also evident in Ichika Nito's songs, for example in 'Ethereal Feel'.

Through research and analysis, in comparison to Eddie Van Halen, Ichika Nito's playing style is similar to Van Halen's style and techniques (Loudwire, 2020), with lots of tapping in between the use of chords and very fast tapping movements to create riffs (Ichika Nito, 2019).

He wants his pieces to do well without people thinking about the film when heard separately, so he creates music with the intention that his music will have a separate life from the film, similar to how he feels with Morricone's music (Anton Smit, 2024).
