I am a very busy and involved student with little time outside of school and many of the provided classes were only in the evenings. I believe I fully understand the grammar, conjugation, and sentence structures involved in Spanish but sometimes it is difficult for me to remember some words and phrases. Tague was one of the best I have had with an online teacher. I could quickly tell she cared about her students with her weekly updates and messages. At the same time, she gave me plenty of space to learn on my own but was also available to help whenever I needed it. I do not think there was anything she did incorrectly because I feel I got the most out of this class and overall experience. With these assignments I was able to make connections with vocabulary and grammar in order to form complete and proper sentences. I think with an online course it is still important to practice speaking so that we as students may fully retain the information given. I think the most interesting thing I discovered was La Tomatina, an annual tomato fight held in Spain. I think Spain's culture is as unique as it gets and I appreciate the love they have for it. Spaniards go out of their way to show pride in their country through ceremonies, holidays, and buildings. I plan to go into the hospitality business and would like to work on a more global scale so I will need more knowledge with Spanish as well as other languages.
