I'm most interested in Mae Jemison, the reason I chose her was because I've seen photos and pictures of her around the school. The more I researched her the more interested I was in knowing more about her. She became the first black woman to travel into space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Mae Jemison is more than an astronaut — she's also a physician, a Peace Corps volunteer, a teacher, and founder and president of two technology companies. She is the youngest of three children born to a maintenance worker and an elementary school teacher She was inspired to become an astronaut because of Star Trek. I think technological science sounds most interesting to me, you get to incorporate engineering and science and work in groups to build something. What I don’t like about it is sometimes is there would be a lot of programming languages I would have to learn. Some classes I could take to learn more about this job would be • Computer Programming. • Databases/Data Mining/Data Management/Data Science. • Networking Engineering. • Software Engineering. • Web Development. • Computer Graphics. • Operating Systems. • Computer Systems.
