In some cases, I have felt that I lack certain abilities that would allow me to express myself better.

Sometimes I forget the meaning or the correct use of certain words, which has made me question my knowledge.

Absolutely not! Actually, I think that the difference between accents is what makes the language special and unique, because everyone could express theirselves differently, talking in a way that they feel comfortable with.

I think accents are part of our identity, they mark our culture and trace the path we have been walking. I do not think that is something wrong, I think it reflects the effort we as foreign learners do to acquire a second language. I believe is part of me, my personality, and my characteristics. I love my accent because it shows that I am able to speak many languages without losing part of myself.

What resonated with me the most was that sometimes I have realized the way I speak can change depending on the context. I have found myself changing the terms I use, the tone I use, and even chose to not speak at all. I think it’s a way to survive, i mean, you would not talk like an academic at a party in cuadra play

When the author mentioned there were people that pretend not to hear her mother, in some places the treat was different. I felt it really hard because people tend to act that way sometimes and that is heartbroken. You have to act equally and respectfully, I mean it is the basic makes us humans.

Yes, and I still try to overcome that. Even with my first language, I was a child with "seseo", which made me ashamed of the way I spoke.

When I started learning French, I felt awful about the little vocabulary I had. French is the first language I have actual memory of learning, since I don't have many memories from when I started learning English.

Sometimes I am too fixated on every little mistake I make. I would confuse words with English all the time, which made me embarrassed and even now I feel like my /R/ are too strong and unnatural. I have to remind myself that everything is a process and I will get better with time.

Yes, in some cases. At first I felt a little ashamed about my speaking skills in the sense of not knowing how to pronounce certain words and not being as fluent as I would have liked from the beginning.

I don't think having an accent is bad at all. Accents represent our origins and our identity and we don't have to suppress those things. As long as we can still communicate normally with others, I think having an accent is not wrong in any way

Having an accent is completely normal, it defines us as individuals and demonstrate our roots. It is not necessary to follow a "correct English".

My first learning and teaching experiences were more from a colonial perspective because that was the predominant one in the past centuries. Now things are different since globalización has brought some positive aspects. In this sense, I try to do things in a different way

No, but sometimes speaking English with a native or an expert can make you feel in a low level. However, I don't have any problem with that, although it is really awkward.
