         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mama wants to use the insurance money to buy a home for her family.&nbsp; She would be happy with all of her kids under the same roof, living together and working and contributing to society.&nbsp; The Youngers are living&nbsp; during the Jim Crow laws and other discriminatory actions of the 1940s-50s.&nbsp; There is racism in the country and it was diffiuclt for African American families to achieve their dreams.&nbsp; As a black woman, Mama was discriminated against for two reasons - her race and her gender.&nbsp; However, in the end Mama is able to keep her family together by using the insurance money to buy the family a new house in a nice neighborhood.</p><p><br><br></p>]]></description>
