         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. <br>It helps us to keep up to date with effective practices in education. It also helps us in our pedagogy development and widens our "bag of tricks".&nbsp;<br><br>The reason that resonates with me the most is: It stops us from using experience alone when making decisions.&nbsp;<br>Because sometimes we just do the same thing over and over again cuz we do not have new knowledge and it may not give us the best results or we always get the same results, with no improvement.&nbsp;<br><br>2. <br>I think doing short readings or reading a book which is easy to read and related to my area of interest/ work will be a good start. Googling on topics and reading articles on website is something that I do when I need to plan certain lessons which I may not have the professional knowledge.&nbsp;<br>Some ways that are shared in the articles which I prefer is to find a quiet place to read, having time to read, think and reflect.<br><br>3. <br>Reading up on teaching students how to set goals https://positivepsychology.com/goal-setting-students-kids/&nbsp;<br>as well as some past notes on teaching certain PE skills.&nbsp;<br><br>I'm also reading a book on Discipline with the Discipline comm. Do we still define "reading" as holding a hardcopy book or has that become a fashion statement? Perhaps in a quiet way to Focus on topic of interest would be to fixate on a problem or issue, source for ideas, solutions and articles that are relevant as part of reading. Comparing the consistency of different ideas or articles to ensure that it is up to date and accurate. Reading generates new ideas and creative thoughts that we can adjust to suit our students’ needs. We can also share new things so it can benefit others as well (it may not work for us but it can work for others, who knows? 🙂)&nbsp;<br><br>2. I love reading and I usually search ideas up on google… but I have motion sickness :( so I can’t read them when I’m travelling, which is actually most of the free time that I have. I love the idea of listening to podcasts so I will start searching them up and adding them to my playlist 👍🏼<br><br>3. I recently JUST started on this podcast on Spotify “Teachers Need Teachers”.
