Hello, My name is Ashleigh Glover. I just got married October 19, 2018. My husband is a big supporter of my goals with school and I am more than thankful to have him by my side throughout this journey. I started at NCC Summer 2018 and my anticipated graduation date is May 2020. I am nervous, excited, and determined for this semester because I have 5 courses (3 face-to-face and 2 online). I currently work at Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments with the Area Agency on Aging as their Administrative Assistant. I absolutely love it there and this job is the biggest reason I realized what I needed to do with my life. I have had some bumps in the road with a career choice, but I am so happy and excited I finally figured out what I would like to do and I look forward to this journey towards my Human Services Technology/Gerontology Degree.

My name is Casey Webb. This semester is my last semester here at NCC. In May, I will graduate majoring in Human Services and Gerontology. I currently work with the elderly throughout the week who suffer from dementia and Alzheimer's. I've been a caregiver since I was 15 years old and six years later I've expanded this experience greatly and I've had the privilege to work with many elderly patients. My hobbies include working at the Rocky Mount Senior Center as a volunteer and spending time with my family. I hope to learn more about the elderly in this course and I believe that it will benefit me in my future endeavors.

Hello, my name is Hunter Andrew. I graduate this May with a degree in Human Service Technology/Gerontology. I just got accepted into Barton College so I plan on transferring there in the Fall to get my Bachelors. I have been working at the Rocky Mount Senior Center for a little over 2 years. I also volunteer at the Nash County, Wilson, and Tarboro Senior Center. I really love all of my seniors, so that is why I picked Gerontology as my minor.

Hello class. I am excited about this semester. Mainly because after this semester I will only have 4 classes left before graduating with an associates in Human Services/Gerontology...**whoop whoop*. I've been a student here at Nash since 2016 and prior to I was a student at Halifax Community College. I decided to transfer to Nash since it was closer to home. However, studying at both colleges have been rewarding experiences and all of my instructors and peers have been amazing. Currently, I work full time as a Customer Service Technician with Cummins. I have three grown children ages 27, 26, and 24 and a 6 year old grandson Landon who just melts my entire heart. I am a 5 year breast cancer survivor and grateful to still be alive. I have a true passion for people and that is why I choose Human Services as a degree of study. I am uncertain however if I would like to continue in the gerontology field or shift to children but either way I plan to pursue my education and obtain my Bachelor's in Social Work. I look forward to a fruitful semester with you all.
