Our colleague Anthoula Papageorgiou, English teacher at these levels, has explained to us the different digital tools they have used: Application webex polling and padlet web tools in English classes in 5th & 6th.

We have found the use of the padlet tool very interesting as a way to motivate, teach and make student learning a fun, interesting task with evidence to evaluate them.

They have shown us some works made by the students that we found very interesting: Spring project and Shakespeare project.

These types of tools have facilitated the improvement in their creativity, writing and digital competence.

We found it very interesting the interactive way and through memory tests to evaluate through the polling tool.

The final conclusion makes us think that the digital world is here to stay and that its proper use will allow students to improve in all their skills, improve their digital competence and the way they communicate. For teachers it will be a challenge in which we will have to assume changes in our training, in our way of working and in our methodology. We will be able to design activities and final products that allow students to work from home and adapt the content to these new designs.


The second part of this interesting third day, in which we saw how teachers work at the 3rd Primary School of Pylaia, Katerina Aza, geography, mathematics  teacher, prepared a presentation of Sway Field Research in 5th grade for us.

Through the Office 365 program, they present us with the Sway Field tool where students can work by searching for information, contents, etc., and make attractive presentations to develop language skills in all areas.

We were in a 6th level Geography class with interactive games. We worked with different interactive maps where the capital and the country and its geographical location were searched (oral activities), another interactive map of museums and monuments of different European countries and about the European Union. The session ended with a game looking for the difference between two maps.

In the second session we participated in a joint work organized by our Greek colleague with 6th grade students from Greece and Tenerife. The teacher used the Nearpod tool. An interesting experience that led our students to participate together with motivating activities: puzzles, videos, a virtual tour, drawings, questions, activities related to the video seen with questions and feedback for the students.

A globalized presentation, where the different activities are presented to the students through a blackboard. (Improves students' digital competence, improves reading and comprehension skills…) The teacher show us different interactive activities that motivate children's learning.

As in our school, we work to maintain inclusive learning with these students.

The educational tool I used to present you my activities and the work of my students is Lino it.

·         Use it as a bulletin board among teachers and students and use stickies to share ideas with texts, pictures and files.

·         Take notes, post pictures and videos right away wherever you are and use it as a handy tool for your lesson plans

·         Access lino from your home, school, or even on the road and post a sticky note online whenever you need!

·         Organize your stickies visually

·         You can move the stickies around and change their colors whenever and however you like.

·         You can position your picture archives and movies as you like and share them with your students.

·         Create an Email message containing your note and send it to lino – It will be posted as a sticky.

·         Set due dates on your stickies, and you will receive an Email reminder on the morning of the due date.

·         Zoom in and out at will by pinch gesture.

·         Use from iPhone/iPad and smartphones
