He was the president of the Continental Convention and of course became the United States. In all these leadership positions, he showed a steadfastness of purpose and helped create the precedents and foundations that would form America. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Adams was, along with Thomas Jefferson , one of the only two signers of the Declaration of Independence later to become president. He was an erudite lawyer from Massachusetts and an ardent supporter of the Revolution, serving on the drafting committee of the Declaration of Independence, where he offered a few subtle but important changes to Jefferson's draft. Adams was also one of the negotiators who drafted the Treaty of Paris in 1783 to the end of the Revolutionary war.</div>]]></description>

He helped organize the new Government and later became the fourth of the United States. </div>]]></description>
