Earthquakes shake the ground because there's plates. The plates sometimes make cracks, and they are called faults. If rocks move on the faults, the earth shakes. It shakes the ground and destroys things like buildings and trees.

The crust, or top layer of the earth, is made up of large sections of rocks called plates. These plates are always moving.Sometimes they move so much that they start making cracks. Those cracks get bigger, and bigger. Therefore, big cracks start forming. The plates shake and everything around either falls down, crumbles, anything that has to so with DESTRUCTION!! So, that's the answer!! That's what changes are taking place during an earthquake!!

earthquakes change landscapes by rising and lowering them.this can also happen in the sea. An earthquake is shaking off part of the ground. It also changes the landforms. When the plates are moving they can make cracks. In the crust and it causes the earthquakes to occur.
