After the Baudelaire's parent died from a fire, Count Olaf, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire's step-father wanted to steal, or take their parent's money because they were wealthy. I wanted to know why would the Baudelaire's own relative want to steal their money. I know many people in this world are jealous of people who have more money than them, and try everything to get that money for themselves, but I never heard of relative doing so. I also want to know what he'd do when he was about to lethally marry Violet, by tricking Justice Strauss, a judge, into a play. For example, "The Marvelous Marriage," was about Count Olaf and Violet marrying, so Count Olaf could become her husband, and take the Baudelaire's fortune. I wonder why he would do such a cruel thing to his nieces and nephew.

Throughout the story, there are many themes like never give up, and if you try to hurt others, you will be hurt too. For example, throughout the story, the children tried to tell Mr. Poe, their parent's friend, an important bank member, that Count Olaf was a madman. Another example is that when Olaf said he was going to marry Violet in the play, the children didn't know why, so they went to Justice Strauss home to find a law book. After reading multiple books, Violet ad gotten tired, whereas Klaus kept searching for a clue. An example for the second theme is that since Olaf tried to hurt and steal the children's fortune, he ended up going to prison.

Throughout these pages, Klaus had found out Olaf's plan to steal the Baudelaire's fortune. For example, on page 26, Klaus stated, " The requirements are as follows: the presence of a judge, a statement of “I do” by both the bride and the groom, and the signing of an explanatory document in the bride’s own hand. Although my sister is too young to marry, she would need her lethal guardian's permission."Why would Olaf want to marry Violet then? He also said, " A legal husband has the right to control any money in the possession of his legal wife." This proves that Olaf is planning to marry Violet for their fortune.
