Cyber bullying can have major effects and consequences on the  individuals involved  and for this reason, the Criminal Code Act 1995 was introduced. This act unfortunately does come with multiple flaws determined from recent developments and inquiries by the Australian Law reform commission.  As a result of this, the need for law reform was identified based on the comprehensive effectiveness of this Act, and with the aid of the LRAC there is a high possibility it will be amended.

APP SUMMARY
Due to the global pandemic, the government released the COVIDSafe app on the 26th of April. The app collects a lot of data about you and sends them to other users nearby . If you are infected the app doesn't delete your information until the pandemic is officially over. It collects your name, age, address, post code, phone number and range. the same day that the app came out, a new privacy bill passed legislation  about privacy concerns and the biosecurity act was amended. This allows the app to store this information on you. People aren't so happy about that and took to social media platforms to discuss it.
