This might affect it because child's perspective regarding such an impactful event might be more suceptible towards the extreme violence produced by the source of authority in the regime. In those pictures he portrayed the reality of Iran and the war, not what the government wanted people to believe. It wasn't all perfect as they wanted it to look. Taking these pictures was strictly forbidden because if people started to realize that dying at war wasn't honorable then they would stop wanting to fight for their country, and that wasn’t beneficial for the government.This indirect memories affect Satrapi’s authenticity because they are not their absolute interpretation of the historical facts, they are from other sources and she hasn’t seen or experienced them.
