The conflict of the story is that the stranger in the yellow suit now knows the secret of the immortal stream. Not only that, but he knows which tree it is and where it's located. For example, the T the tucks carved into the tree is something to look for, and that it's a giant ash tree in the middle of the woods. Based on what I read, this would be a big problem for the Tucks because he could expose the immortal secret of the stream, and then mankind would be destroyed, and, as the book states {on page eight}, the world would tremble on its axis like a beetle on a pin. If the stranger exposed the secret of the stream, then the world would know about the stream, and then everyone would go to the stream to be immortal until the stream ran out of immortal water. The Fosters would wonder why so many people are wandering around their property, and then they would also know, people would travel around the world to be immortal, and, well, that would be catastrophic. I also think that Jesse wants to let Winnie drink from the spring, but he knows he can't let her.

I think the conflict is the stranger in a yellow suit knows something but won't say what it is. Also Jesse doesn't want people to find out about the water that makes them immortal because he told Winnie but is kind of worried about telling other people. Also the stranger in the yellow suit might drink from the spring and become immortal and tell lots of other people and destroy the spring. Also one of the quotes in the book said And that would have been a disaster so immense that this weary old earth, owned or not to it's fiery core, would have trembled on its axis like a beetle on a pin. Which was stated on page 8. Also When Winnie was asking Jesse all these questions she could have wanted to date Jesse and Jesse wants to let Winnie drink from the spring.

I think the conflict is keeping the the spring a secret because in the book it says it would be tragic if anyone else found the spring. And then everyone who drank would be immortal. People won't like being immortal because they would get bored and they will live a miserable life forever.

Winnie is a girl who who wants to be alone. She's always noticed by someone. In the book Winnie is talking to a frog and her parents see her and tell her to come off the grass because you're going to get your boots dirty. She wants to be something that's free. For instance she want's to be a frog that rome's around the woods to explore and not be noticed all the time. Latter that night when the frog went away and a stranger walked up the street and had a full conversation with Winnie and he said I'm looking for a family. I stopped right at that word because if a guy walks up to your house and aks you is this your house I think he is looking for the fasters. If the author brings up this guy he is definitely going to be a main factor of this story. Winnie said are you looking for my dad because he has people that works at his work. the man said yes so that makes me think that he is looking for the fosters. I think Winnie is a smart and creative girl. I have a connection with August and Winnie because there always noticed by someone She wants to be a free person she want's something. August want's his face to be normal but at the end of wonder he really does not care. I think she would not cars if she was noticed because if a author mentions she does not want to be noticed in strong words I think she is going to be noticed a lot at the end of this book. I have a connection with the guy that was walking up the road with Jackwill. In the beginning of the year august got surprised about Jackwill and was like "Where did this guy come from and why is he being nice to me if I have this kind of face.

What I think the conflict of the story is that in the stranger was listening to them and they didn't want anybody to know. If the stranger knows about what the spring, he might want to drink some of the water and that would be bad. If the man wants to drink the water, or if he does, than he would be immortal and he might tell other people about it and than everybody at one point could be immortal. Like the book says in the prologue, things could tremble like a beetle on a pin, and that would be bad. Another thing that is a conflict of the story is that Winnie has to decide if she is going to be immortal or not, but if she decides she wants to be, the Tuck's don't really want her to. Also, the stranger in the yellow suit now knows what tree that the water is at because it has a T on it and he can locate the water and drink it.

I think the conflict of the story is living forever. I think of this because I think that living forever may be boring because if you don't change, would you be happy? And I think that living forever can be hard so I think that they may be trying to figure how to get them not to live forever because the horse got shot, Mr. Tuck shot himself and they lived but at the same time, they have to not make people not drink from the spring? Why don't they just get some water and pour it everywhere or just drain it? This is all I know from chapters 1- 8.

I think that the conflict in Tuck Everlasting is the spring. The spring is a Problem
because the Tucks have already told Winnie how horrible it is. When an author speaks through the charactres I think that is Natile Babit teling us that is the problem. When she speaks through the character I have no choice but to believe her. I also believe since the book is called Tuck Everlasting it means the Tucks will live forever as cause of the spring. But when an author gives a book a name that's what the story will be about there is a reason for calling the book that. So when Natalie Babit calls the the book that that means the story is going to be about that which makes me think that it is the conflict. My last thinking is that since that is the main focus normally in the book all the characters we know are talking about it. We have all heard the stories and they aren't a blessing they are a curse.
