- To scare people

- To keep people guessing.

- Appearances of supernatural beings.

- Innocence being attacked by evil,or villains.

- Death surrounding everyone or recent death triggers the appearance of the supernatural or causes characters to contact supernatural beings.

- Causes characters to question life itself, feeling like thieve been lied to their entire life putting them threw a denial stage with the result of them getting hurt or something happening to them in the end.

-Characters not being able to tell the difference between their dreams, imagination, or real life.
