Initially there was two main inspirations that drove Greta to start a youth movement of her own. The "March for our lives" movement that was organized by students in Parkland, Florida following the deadly mass shooting that killed 17 people, and Rosa Parks who influenced the start of a civil rights movement called the "Montgomery bus boycott" in which they protested a stop to segregated seating.

What sets Thunberg apart from other people is charisma, courage, and fearlessness. She is isn't afraid to speak her mind, she isn't afraid of judgement, she shows pure motivation and dedication, and she certainly doesn't let her disorder hold her back from doing what she loves.

Mostly recognized for her efforts in pressuring world leaders to take immediate action against climate change. Learning about the ongoing issue at just 8 years old, she wasted no time in changing her own habits by going vegan and refusing to travel by air. Seeking to make a change in the world, Thunberg took action in 2018 at just 15 years old when she very bravely held a saying "Skolstrejk för klimatet" (School strike for climate) outside the Swedish Parliament. Following the protest, she gained international attention fairly quickly prompting her to start a worldwide movement. Since then, she has gone on to speak at several climate conventions.
