Report that someone tested positive after Jr. Prom, but that was to be expected with the new mask mandate.
Teachers still feel disconnected from their students.  Masks and hoods kept them from connecting with facial recognition.
Next week is a big week with the no mask mandate. General health needs of staff and students, with not only the physical aspect but also a mental health factor as well.  

School Site Standpoint - Harder to hire people right now, so workload increases overall and creates more stress.

Offering resources to struggling families, and not having all the answers can create a sense of chaos and confusion... We don't always have the perfect answer. Problems vary, and it is hard to maintain the perfect answers when there are so many factors.

Advanced classes more challenging with teacher absence due to COVID
Absences cause higher levels of stress as the pace seems faster now that instruction is in-person
Higher anxiety from having more substitutes

High School

Absences caused too much catch up work and loss of instructional time -- increase anxiety and eventually led to attendance at virtual academy

Parents feeling more of the social emotional fatigue from supporting students

Parents feeling fatigue and loss of patience with shifting COVID protocols

Parent observed loss of sincerity and empathy when people are trying to fix situations and understanding solving process requires a process; would like to see more helpfulness
