-  The use of visual aids such as having shapes magnifiers, videos, and guide sample for the playdough activity supports students’ understanding of the concept of shapes more.

-  The lesson has a wide range of activities that cater the different interests and learning styles of students.

- Most of your activities are hands-on which aligns with our curriculum Reggio Emilia Inspired and Montessori.

-   The students are interested in the activities that includes cutting and pasting; in addition they will enjoy practising their cutting skills.

- Explain more about how you will challenge higher-ability students and support middle and lower-ability students.

- The resources you will use during your lesson and for the activities are written, however, you will need to elaborate more on the description part and include the instructions.

-   Since you plan on teaching many shapes Therefore, it will be better to narrow down the lesson to 3 shapes instead of 4. And to avoid confusion between square and rectangle..

-  You have a wide range of activities to cater students with different learning styles and interests , such as drawing, colouring, online games, and many hands-on activities.

- Using technology (Online game – Shapes music video) aids in students’ interaction and engagement during the lesson.

-   The “I spy” activity and guessing the game grabs students’ attention, allows them to be active participants in their lesson, and makes learning fun and interactive.

-    The lesson plan does not include many details about the assessment; For example how you will assess students, what questions to ask and how to measure their understanding or progress.

-       The allocated time for circle time and introduction is very brief and short.

-       For the cookie monster activity “sorting activity” adjust the shape of the cookie to the shape instead of having it all circle and just a small symbol of the shape on top to avoid students’ confusion.

-    Your lesson does not have a proper ending.

-       I will explain the activities more by including the resources, set-up, and instruction.

-       In my lesson plan’s objective, I included rectangle as one of the shapes I will teach along the other 3 shapes. However, when I discussed it with my MST, she advised me to exclude the rectangle to avoid confusion between square and rectangle.

-       In my sorting activity I initially planned to use images for students to sort them based on their shapes. However, my peer advised me to use tangible objects instead. Therefore, I created a sensory box using coloured rice and different objects like blocks, coins, board erasers, and many more objects. In addition, I added tongs for students to pick the objects and practice their fine motor skills as well.

-       In my lesson plan I just highlighted the assessment strategies that I will use to assess my students, however, I did not include any further information on the tools I will use or the questions I will ask. Therefore, I plan to write down a guide to follow like the questions I will ask, when I will observe or what I will observe, and what tools I will use to gather evidence of the student’s work.

-       My peer’s feedback on my circle time is that it is very short, however, I am against having a long circle time and I plan my lesson’s circle time only to introduce the concept of my lesson and give the opportunity for my students to learn through activities and experimentation. Therefore, I don’t plan on adjusting my circle time or extend it.

-       Regarding the lesson's ending, I followed my MST's way of teaching. In creative nest nursery, they just introduce the lesson in circle time then they end it by allowing students to have free play in many different corners and activities for the rest of the day. They don't have allocated time for each subject, they learn through integrated lessons and play.

-       For my sorting activity I will edit the sorting mat for students to avoid confusion. Here is what I will do:

Cutting worksheet: My students are still practicing their cutting skills , therefore I created 1 activity for them to practice cutting. In addition, I will be able to assess them and evaluate their understanding of relating objects to certain shapes. For example, they will be able to relate that a slice of watermelon's shape is a triangle.

Fine and Gross Motor Skills: In this activity, students will move both their larger muscles and small ones. They will need their fine motor skills to color, hold the magnifier, and write down the number. In addition, they will also use their gross motor skills to stand, sit , and extend their arms to find the shapes around the house.
