Description: This is my second house in Canada. My girlfriend bought this new house in the building next door and we moved in together. Here, we got a second dog, I changed two cars, and experienced many "firsts": the first time skiing, the first time playing with friends all night. This home carries many good memories of my girlfriend and I.

Migration history: The process of moving from the first house to here marks the further development of our relationship and the improvement of life stability.

Connection with family: Although this move is not far away, it symbolizes the change of life and the expansion of the family. My girlfriend and I have built a new life together and share the memories of this space together.

Conceptual association: This place can be associated with "the closeness of strangers". In a new home, my girlfriend and I gradually built a common life and started a new stage of life. This house represents the gradual transformation of a strange space into a home full of intimacy.

Description: This is the first house I rented during my study in Canada. I contacted, moved, and organized completely by myself. The beginning of independent life taught me how to cope with all challenges in life. Here, I adopted my first dog and bought my first car in my life. This was my first experience of being so far away from my parents.

Migration history: This migration symbolizes my transition from relying on my family to independent life. In this process, I learned to make my own decisions and adapted to the pace of life in Canada.

Connection with family: Although I am far away from my parents, this period of independent life also makes me cherish the company and support of my family more.

Concept association: This place can be associated with "cross-culturality". I lived independently in a foreign country, adapted to a different cultural atmosphere, and gradually formed my own independent identity and cross-cultural adaptability. This process reflects how individuals redefine their cultural identity in the context of globalization.

Description: This is my home in Shanghai, and the decoration style is completely different from the house in Canada. This house carries my growing up memories from childhood to adulthood. My grandmother raised me here for 17 years. Before going to high school, my daily life almost revolved around this house. This is where I studied, entertained, and rested.

Migration history: After spending 17 years in this home, I moved to boarding school and started my first truly independent life.

Connection with family: This house symbolizes the foundation of the family and the deep affection between me and my grandmother. My grandmother raised me here, and this house carries the memories of my entire childhood and adolescence.

Conceptual association: This place can be associated with the concept of "national identity". This house is not only a home in the physical sense, but also a symbol of family tradition and cultural identity. Although I moved to different countries, this place is still "home" in my heart, representing my connection with my family history and culture.

Description: When I was in high school, the school required accommodation, so I lived in the school from Monday to Friday. That was the first time I was truly away from my family and started to live independently. There, I also met my current girlfriend, and our relationship has continued to this day.

Migration history: This was the first time in my life that I lived away from my family for a long time and learned to cope with life independently in an unfamiliar environment.

Connection with family: Although away from home, this stage marked my transition from dependence on family to gradual independence, and it was also at this time that I learned how to make my own life decisions.

Conceptual association: This place can be associated with the concept of "in-betweenness". During this period, I was in a transitional state between family dependence and personal independence. The experience of boarding school helped me grow from a dependent child to an independent individual and enter the threshold of the adult world.
