This is a series of questions posed to the students BEFORE the lesson. This could be done on paper, verbally, or presented using technology such as Quizizz.
**Tip**
I suggest posing the questions through Google Slides and utilizing the first few minutes for kids to share their thoughts with a partner, then the entire class.

This strategy involves briefly glancing through material and picking out key points like headings and subheadings.
**TIP**
I suggest using this when introducing an online book. Students can 'flip' through the book with a partner and make predictions about what each section will talk about.

KWL stands for know, want to know, learned. Students write everything they know about a topic in the first column, what they want to know in the second column, and what they learned in the third column.
**TIP**
I suggest using this as a Google Doc. Students can collaborate or work on their own. When they answer one of their questions from the "W" section, they can continuously add to their chart.

Advance organizers involve presenting students with a blank chart/sketch that is meant to structure material. This is presented during introduction of new material.
**TIP**
For one-to-one classrooms, I suggest using Google Slides. You can use Google Drawings to create structures and then add text boxes to each shape. Kids can easily add information as material is presented.

This is a list of statements or facts that introduce students to a topic. They form opinions on the facts/topics BEFORE discussion. Teachers then lead a discussion of responses to get a variety of opinions.
**TIP**
I suggest using an application like Kahoot to poll the class. This could be done per question and will immediately show polling results while retaining anonymity.
