Participants will gain insight into the supports available to them as instructional leaders that will help foster capacity building across teaching teams.

The Leadership Summit will be at LaGuardia High School.

- Getting Started with The First Six Weeks Teaching Guide: 
During this session, participants will dive into the First Six Weeks Teaching Guide and explore the focus questions that will guide discussions with children each week. Teaching teams will explore the experiences offered to children that build a classroom community and learn what it means to enable children to develop classroom ownership. We will also discuss big concepts, like the necessary foundation laid by focusing on social and emotional learning during the first six weeks of school. Participants will also benefit from a hands-on demonstration of the layout and times of day described within the Teaching Guide.
